Well, average lifespan is 70-80ish, right? So, 35-40 is somewhere in the middle of that, right? So, if you are between those ages, you are middle-aged. That doesn't mean you're old.

Hmm, usually I get two periods a month, but I haven't had one since the first of October, hmmm.

"STOP SINGING ALONG!" I'd have to go with his review of Sexy B*tch/Chick, though, just for the line, "That's like if you tried to make scrambled eggs, and instead you caught syphilis!" I actually can't remember the rest of the review, but that line deserves recognition.
Sexy Chick was good, but this line you mention wasn't in that one!
Oops - dunno how I did that one. Maybe because that song fails just as badly? It was actually in his Hey, Soul Sister review! And it was still hilarious, even if I forgot the context so completely.

OK...Sometimes I can barely make heads or tails of your posts...the misspellings, the grammatical errors...other times, your posts are almost perfectly written. What gives?

Hey, I use an iPhone. I have toe thumbs so I have to type with my index or middle finger. Sometimes the tough screens are less forgiving. Cut me some slack.

Using my iphone with my toe thumbs. There will be typos.

And points out all of their flaws with much gusto and hyperbolic internet rage. How does saying "Don't pretend a work is flawless when it is, in fact, flawed" run counter to pointing out flaws? If I had page-long gushing sessions while declaring MagicCrack genius, maybe...?

Also, everything Saria said.

And why, oh why, does my iPod keep losing songs?! I think I've had the same computer/library for a few years now...

It's not Jane Eyre. It's Twilight. Let's take a step back.

What do you think said Classic Literature was made for, swatting flies? Jane Eyre and Twilight: both books written for the reader's enjoyment, although the second was written with only the writer in mind as a reader at first. Interpretation/critique/etc. is all part of the fun and I think anyone who suggests that it's somehow wrong for people to want to play on the equipment a book, TV show or movie sets up for them is being a total buzzkill.

And you are aware that I wasn't telling people not to like Twilight, right? I was telling them not to declare it far superior to works that didn't skip the copy-writing, because that makes it structurally flawed in a way that makes acting like it's Untouchably Brilliant kind of sad. Also, nobody gets to act like the thing they like is perfect, IMO, because that's pretty much impossible. They will be wrong.

ETA that Mark being a man should have nothing to do with whether you accept his opinion, and that you should check out other Mark Reads/Watches to see what he actually does. He's not a traditional reviewer, he's telling the internet about his experience reading/watching whatever as he goes along, which is sort of what I'm doing with Buffy, lol. When he doesn't like things, they make it so he can't enjoy the book. Not everyone's going to like the same things you do, and someone doesn't need to be taking something too seriously to just not enjoy it. God knows the reverse is true because there are Twilight fans who take the series disturbingly seriously. In fact, those are the fans I was addressing in the post that offended you.

Just finished making 5 dozen deviled eggs for my son's frat house thanksgiving feast tomorrow (called Fratsgiving...clever boys). Now my house STINKS like farts. Why must hardboiled eggs stink so much?

I was on break and in the bathroom of the mall. A lady was breastfeeding her baby next to the diaper changing station in the gross and tiny bathroom instead of the decently sized and well-lit food court. That won't be me, I dare someone to say something about me feeding my child in public. They will get a piss off, grow up please and thanky thrown their way. I don't play that.

I did my first post cut washing. It felt quite weird to have wet hair that is barely BSL in the shower. It was longer than that dry pre cut. I was relieved that I was able to style it myself. One never knows how a cut will turn out when one gets home and gets it wet.

I've had a few moments of missing my length the past few days. I had a habit of reaching behind me to twirl my hair, and now I can't reach.

But, I must say that the increase in curl and spring balances out me missing my length.

Dear 80 degree weather,

I am so completely over you. Please do me a favor and leave. I'll see you in March.

Sincerely,
Someone desperately ready for fall.

Maybe she's out of town for Thanksgiving? A lot of school districts give kids the whole week off now.
