RCC, I suspect Bretty wouldn't eat very well if she were to do that. It would be like punishing herself.

To get the Wii or not to get the Wii, that is the question.

Here's a list of my offenses:
-I should have made something a little more "kid-friendly" (my 2yr old eats grilled fish and veggies just fine why can't your 10 year old?!)
-Apparently I shouldn't have stuffed all the salmon w/ crabmeat because not everyone likes crab (but she sure as hell ate it)
-I "undercooked" the fish it was too "moist and juicy"
-Pomegranate and pear shouldn't be in a salad (her husband drowned his salad in ranch dressing!)
- I didn't cook enough, last time I checked 4 fillets is more than enough for a family of three

She walked away unharmed... I deserve a pat on the back lol.
How you feed everyone?

I would had ate dinner in front of them. "If you told me you were coming i would had made enough for you. sorry. there's pb&j. help yourself"

We've had one for 3 years I think and it so rarely gets used. I've thought about trying out gamefly (or whatever it's called) just so we use the dang thing.

Buy it! But only if you will use it frequently. Also think about what you'll be using it for to make sure its what you want. Ex. I'd rather watch netflix on my bfs xbox than my Wii because I think the quality is better via xbox (at least I think so). If you're going to use it for working out, it's ok but I'd rather go with an xbox with kinect so I can workout hands free. I need to convince my bf to buy kinect for his xbox

I wouldn't have given her a damn thing, Bretty. In fact, she wouldn't have made it over the doorstoop at my house. You don't just show up unannounced at people's homes!

A FB friend posted a frustrated update about how she was denied food stamps wondering why people who needs assistance are denied. I feel for her, but her conclusion that it's because people abuse the system is unfair. Blame it on the system itself for making it incredibly difficult for anyone who isn't ridiculously poor to be able to get them rather than judging how deserving people are!

I've never really understood the term, "kid friendly food." What is kid friendly food? Whose kids is it friendly to? Am I not supposed to feed my children the same things my husband and I eat?

I'm gonna get it! It's for Mr. Spring for Christmas and I think it's something we'll both use. We can rent games at Blockbuster so that makes it appealing and he's already got his Xbox and PS3 for playing his favorite shooting games, I think the Wii will be more something we can both play together since I love me some Mario Kart. I know he'll like being able to rent games that are only available on Wii like Zelda.

Now that I've decided here's hoping Target has the one I want!

What's worse is the automatic assumption that a kid will not eat something. I mean, my nephew is a nightmare in terms of getting him to eat anything, but at least the attempt is made.

I love this sweater. It's cheap and acrylic, and I wish it weren't, but I couldn't help getting it and wearing it often since I got it a couple of months back. Buckles!

Cool! I love playing Mario games. Shop around, there are nice bundle packages. I think they still have the bundle with Mario kart & wheel included. I wish that bundle deal was out when I purchased mine.

Kids do not get special food in my house (unless it's a real allergy, not just an aversion). I don't make special food for picky adults either (unless it's health related like they have diabetes or they are low carbers. Then I will make an effort as long as I know ahead of time.).
I was told that my first stepdaughter (at 5 yrs old) was a fussy eater and would probably not eat anything I cooked. So the first time she was over for dinner I made a dinner like any other I would make (pork chops, mashed potatoes, peas, etc). I put a little of everything on her plate and didn't say a word. Her dad and I started eating. And she started eating. And she never complained about anything I ever made.

And bretty, you are a much nicer person that I am. At the first comment I would have told her how rude she was for dropping in and then complaining.

Hope so. But its incredibly uneven. Chopped off to about an inch at the back, but hanging down past my shoulders at the front.

And she ran the scissors down my hair, opening and shutting them as she went, thinning it out.

So, I went to Wendy's before work today, because I was really hungry, and just needed something fast, and there was no food in our house. Of course, after actually eating the food, I was like "meh, probably would've preferred saltines..." But that's beside the point.

So I go to the drive-thru, because I ended up leaving my house later than planned. I was like "yeah, this'll be faster!" So I order and whatnot, and I'm waiting for my food, and the girl is like "here's your drink, but I'm going to have you pull up a little bit, to the railing by the door, and someone will hand you your food in just a second." It seemed weird, but I was like, whatever, I'm not late yet!
10 minutes later, I'm still sitting there, and watching everyone in my rearview mirror getting their food. What the heck? So, I sit there for a few more minutes thinking they might show up. They didn't. So I worked up every ounce of assertiveness I've been saving up for the past year (I can only use it about once or twice a year, ya know!) and walked inside to the counter. The woman working at the actual counter was very nice and helpful.

She she went to get my food and mentioned it to a co-worker that my food was MIA, and the girl was said (at a very loud volume) "SO? We FORGOT, okay? It's not our fault we forgot. It's not like that girl is my GOD. I don't have to bow down to her. She can wait like everyone else."

Awkward. It's not like I walked in there in a huff. I was perfectly polite. I just wanted my fricking food!

Did I mention that this whole ordeal made me late for work?

Hmph.
