Some food still makes me want to puke since i had my back done. Omelettes and grilled chicken are the top two contenders at the moment. My mum is making an omelette for dinner. I want to heave.

Today I have watched 3 films, that's more than I've watched in the whole month of December so far.

Got two tiny, impeccably fresh kidneys from my pig. Gonna sauté them tomorrow while piggy roasts. I haven't had kidney since I was a kid. Always liked it, just as I always liked liver.

Oh, dear god. Common sense, it ain't so common:

Quote:
However, I froze it and then baked it a couple of days later. DISASTER. I cooked it directly on the baking rack, and it all melted through, obviously. I then cooked what was left more as a cobbler and the crust was good but my boyfriend and I felt that it was way too tart, we didn’t used the caramel sauce. I want to try again, now that I know you need to cook it on a cookie sheet. You should make a distinct clarification in the directions. It was beautiful though.
Umm, aside from common sense, what part of "place rolled out dough on cookie sheet lined with parchment" (and then proceed with recipe) is unclear?

I just had a flashback of the year when my aunt gave me a doll for Christmas.

It was, like, a farmer's body but had her FACE as the face.

It was quite possibly the creepiest thing ever.

Hmmm.... dough directly on the oven rack? How on earth did she even get that into the oven.

I'm not great in the kitchen, but I don't think even I could have managed that!

I just wonder what the thought process is after you make pie dough, full of butter, and not realize that you know, the fat will probably melt once you put it in a hot oven, on a hot oven rack. Now this person seemingly has never baked any sort of pie, but fat melts is a fairly simple, scientific concept, no?

So, I had to run some errands today, and ended up throwing together a really cute Christmas Eve outfit in about 10 minutes at Macy's... I was originally just looking for a dressy-ish top to wear with jeans, and walked out with a cute dress and tights for $25! Love it!

It's just under 2 hours till christmas but it still doesn't feel it.

Eddy seems a bit depressed. I think he wants to go home, or maybe he needs a poop. I hope he goes tomorrow, I don't want to take him to the vet again.

I flossed my teeth and now they feel as though I've had a brace tightened.

Apparently I was supposed to mix the glaze packet that comes with the ham with water on the stove before applying it to the ham. Ooops.

A little girl just saw me and said, "Look, Mommy, one of Santa's elves!".

That was fun.

Since my hat plays music and lights up, she liked that even better.

I can't believe how many people hugged or shook my hand at church tonight, given that apparently, I had "something" in my nose the entire evening.

Did it only work until yesterday? I tried it on my Nook. It didn't work; I think it was because it was a Nook though...So I tried it on my laptop today, but it didn't work there either.

P~ I think you need Firefox or Google Chrome to do the "Let it Snow" thing. I did it at work with IE and it wouldn't work and then at home on my laptop and it did.

So glad I did my wrapping of the kids stuff yesterday. I'm so tired from the festivities at SIL's. But how the hell am I going to wrap a guitar without one of those giant bag thingys?

David EFFING BLAINE.

I had those tights for... How long? And tonight, my cousin ran past me with a toy and snagged them, and got a huge hole right on the thigh.

I might have cried a tiny bit.

ETA: Also, my other cousin is a serious topper/very condescending. I don't know how she does it, but every time I'm around her, she makes me feel like I'm about 6 years old. Did I mention she's like 2 years younger than me? I spent the whole night shooting daggers at her while she wasn't looking.

The Christmas light tour through Petaluma didn't disappoint, although I ran out of hot chocolate WAY too quick.

So does that mean I get to keep it?
