Recovery from surgery is b.o.r.i.n.g.

I still need to finish my MS essay. I might do that tomorrow.

I left the house today for the first time in 3 days. Jeez.

Matthew was coming up the stairs and I started calling his name. My brother asked who was calling, and he said "Tia 'idis!"
Hee, such a smarty!

My brother showed him my tarts. "Yummy! Yummy in my tummy!"

Haha, my brother started singing "the wheels on the bus go round and round" changing it to "the Matthews on the bus" then at one point he said "the babies on the bus". Matthew protested "no, Matthew!"

How I wish I could have one more day off of work.

I have been coughing/sneezing up the grossest, thickest (but clear, e.g., not infectious) mucus. I'm on Allegra D, Flonase, Robitussin, and Vicks Vapor Rub. Something has to work. I'm afraid to go to sleep tonight because of all the mucus affecting my comfort.

I took a picture of Venus next to the crescent moon tonight. Good stuff.

My aunt bought her grandkids (a brother and sister, 2 and 6) portable DVD players for Christmas. "For the car." They each got their OWN.

Call me old-fashioned, but what happened to reading a book or singing along with Mandy Patinkin (was that just my family?), playing little games or just, like, you know, TALKING to your kids?

They can't go an hour without looking at a screen?

Seriously, how on earth did the Ingalls girls do it? Those long covered wagon trips with no electronics.

I watch/read WAY too much Holocaust-related material.

It can't be normal or healthy.

It probably contributes to my insomnia and depression.

Why do I do it?

1. This 'natural hair' bullsh$t in the wintertime is for the mf'ing birds. I simply cannot achieve good 2nd-day hair no matter what I do or try, and I canNOT keep walking into the frigid cold with a wet head. I officially give up.

2. What was the old man trying to tell me in the dream? My dreams are so much more interesting than real life....

3. Bringer of firecrackers, eater of cold greens.....this time of year really has me missing my favorite uncle. *sigh*

A Facebook friend just announced her pregnancy and posted photos of THREE different positive pregnancy tests with captions like "two weeks laaaaaaaaaaaaaate!" and "Just double-checking!"

I mean...really? Do we need to see that? YOU PEE'D ON THOSE STICKS.

I am so in love with Josh Groban right now. His voice is unbelievable and I think his personality is hysterical. He's the reason I log-in to read my Twitter feed.

I feel entitled to your personal information, so if you don't give it to me, you're a bad person. Mhm.

I think I'm getting a cold.

As much as I love my parents I really want to go back to my own place now.

Also do we really need 15 minute updates on Prince Philip's health?
