I like those in black the best, but they aren't available in my size, so the red would be it.

Lolll when contact lens solutions contain hydrogen peroxide, it's at like a 3% concentration and furthermore the HP is neutralized while your lenses soak in it. People really think that pouring HP directly on your contacts is a good idea??? Idiots.

Could animal testing be carried out in a more humane way? Yes. But I feel like people don't realize that if we're not testing on animals, we'll have to test on humans. I know that some people feel that human life is of equal or lesser value compared to non-human animals, but I think a lot of people just don't think about the consequences of banning animal testing.

A common suggestion was to use human cells in petri dishes, because, you know, that's the same exact thing as testing on living organisms. Some also suggested, completely seriously, using human volunteers. I think anyone who insists that animal testing should be banned needs to step up to the plate.

Ugh. Goodbye savings account. Hello textbooks.

They're so expensive this semester... I want to cry. I'm so over college.

I had forgotten how difficult it was to keep a book open while eating and reading. I have some 'real' books and I have gotten used to my kindle for that process.

Saria, just get that first pair. If your feet are up in the air a majority of the time you're wearing who cares if they aren't comfortable?

Wish my job would shut down early. I have nothing to do today and I have to be here the whole day. Total waste.

Things are just fine the way they are. The market decodes how much an individual’s contribution to the economy is worth. The alternative — to have the government determine wages — is Communism.

This whole wealth disparity meme is pure Occupy Wall Street propaganda. But remember — OWS is an anti-consumerist movement. They wanted to boycott Black Friday and oppose defining wealth as material goods. They want to return to the hunter-gatherer days. I don’t think anyone would be comfortable with that.
Love this:
Quote:
And as we all can agree, it is only right and proper that individuals who make insufficient contributions to the economy lack sufficient food, health care, and shelter. Also, their children should be prevented having those things as well as access to adequate education. Any effort to intervene in these arrangements is COMMUNISM! Any suggestion that buying commodities isn’t the be-all and end-all of human existence is COMMUNISM. Everybody knows that if you make the slightest effort to ameliorate suffering, you end up with COMMUNIST hunter-gatherer tribes! Is that what you want, you anti-consumerist COMMUNIST?

Everything is fine the way things are, unless you’re a COMMUNIST.
I mean, really, I thought we'd be past "don't be an evil, disloyal communist" fear-mongering.

Of course that first post is from the same person who actually tried to defend the right to watch porn on a plane, others, especially those awful children, be damned.

Was that meant to be naughty or do I just have a dirty mind? Probably a mix of both.

Getting them, and the red, and those glittery black ones. It occurred to me that I simply don't have any heels that aren't open-toed at the moment.

Yep it's been pretty slow around here, too. I've been listening to Tina Fey's autobiography Bossypants on my Iphone the last 2 days.

LOVED it!

I love my long fake ponytail in grey.

I clipped it to my snow hat.

Oh I've been in a whingey pants mood today. And I think it's going to last until next year.
