People spending money is a good thing. If you have it, and you want to, put it into circulation. It's not my money and I don't know these people.

I'm all about Puma, Onitsuka Tiger, then some Adidas.

Thank you, sweetie.

I'm torn between attending a church service for the community tonight, or staying home and standing guard in case the media return. What do people here think I should do? I'm exhausted and not thinking straight.

Friends lowered the flag before the family's house to half-mast this afternoon. More weeping ensued.

I don't think we live in a storybook town, and I don't think people here are better than in other communities nearby. But we are kind and supportive with each other, and even though I'm deeply sick at heart at what has happened here, I still love my little city, and the people in it. I hate the thought of being ashamed to say "I'm from Chardon" in the future.

If you're up for it, I think attending a church service is what you should do. It's good when the community can come together in times of tragedy.

I've been thinking of you and this story all day. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones and to your little city.

I have a pair of Onitsuka Tigers that are super cute, but just rip my ankles to shreds, even through socks.

They are also navy blue, which seemed like they'd be easy to match with stuff, but have proven to bring surprisingly tricky.

Thanks, missp.

I'm so tired I'm not sure I can safely drive. I'd like to be with my community, though.

I know absolutely nothing about The Hunger Games (other than it was a mega-popular book series) but the commercials they are running are NOT enticing me to go see it whatsoever.

I assume I am not their target audience though.

On the subject of books and movies, I'm still shocked that they have never turned the Outlander series into a movie!

Do you have a friend or neighbor you can go with?

rolf my son can't say the word "specific" he keeps saying spa-spif-ik and spa-spif-ik-kal-ee. On one of his homework questions he has to proofread this sentence, so he's had to say it many times in the last few minutes.

Spaspific sounds like an exclamation. Linda, you look spaspific in that dress!

Yes.

I'm kind of talked out, though. I think I just want to sing with others and commune, if that makes sense.

Ninja, when the 2 boys from my community drowned last year I went to one boys memorial the weekend after at my synagogue and it was probably the best thing I did throughout a heartbreaking, emotionally draining week.

Some of their friends also organized a candlelight vigil the Wednesday after they died. It was very moving- around a thousand people lighting up the hills where they used to hike. I know you're probably too emotionally drained right now to consider arranging it yourself, but all it took for us was a quick Facebook event that quickly got out in the community. Even though it was such a tragedy, seeing all these people in support of the 2 families that lost sons has never made me prouder of where I live. Tragedy brings people together.

I'm not their target audience, but I really liked the book series.

A delivery guy complimented my hair today, it made me happy because I didn't like the way it turned out. It was shiny but frizzy due to the heat in the house (space heater) & car.

Isn't it the BEST getting random compliments when you don't think your hair looks good?! I was covering a photoshoot a few years ago, was surrounded by the famous and the gorgeous, and I thought my hair looked undefined and frizzy and a mess. Then, suddenly, the stylist walks by me, scrunches his hand in my hair and goes, "That is some AWESOME hair action you've got there. Rawr!" Made my week!!!

Making Pop Tarts in my pretty new toaster that my Dad got me for my birthday. Now granted, my old toaster was still working, I eat low carb so I rarely eat toast or english muffins or bagels or pop tarts, and nothing else in my kitchen is red, and my dad knows all this...but it's a really pretty toaster anyway. Thanks Dad! : )

I really feel like Amish people have the right idea... Single men: Shave. Married men: Crazy beards.

I just feel like it'd be so much easier. Like, that guys got a beard? Off limits! This guy is clean shaven? Game on!

I only bring this up because I watched a 2 hour documentary about Amish people on PBS tonight.
