I know the feeling. In Texas, if you're a Christian and you don't vote straight Republican, it's like you killed baby Jesus in utero (Jesus knows I'm being hyperbolic). People look at you like you've elected Satan to rule America and that you're the great whore of Babylon. It's really bad here. I really, really need to move to Portland one of these days.

Ninja, I'm so very sorry. The few times I watched the news while out of town my heart was hurting for you so bad and for the families and community.

Seattle is a pretty darn cool town, we had fun. Both times we drove through Portland we had to say "Put a bird on it!". I'm also very glad I got to see such pretty snow while we were traveling and VERY thankful we didn't have to purchase snow chains and deal with that whole 'thing'.
