I have a friend who had malignant melanoma when she was pregnant (don't know the science-y details). She had it successfully removed, no trouble with the pregnancy, and has been cancer free for 5 years.

FML. I paid my car insurance with a money order on the 15th of Feb. I didn't pay in January and the payment I made was to finish paying off the policy (its up for renewal in the beginning of April). There was a notice that if I didn't pay by the 1st it would be cancelled.

But I sent the payment on the 15th. Surely it would be recieved and credited correctly, just like every other month.

WRONG! They claim they never got it. I called Western Union about the money order and they say it was cashed on the 22nd. So it fits with the amount of days it has taken my insurance to cash it every other month. It will cost me $18 (that I don't have at rent time to spare) to get a copy of the cashed money order. In the mean time, I have to worry every moment about my policy and the status.

FML.

I had a terrible TA for my class on Shakespeare in college. So did several other people I know.

Bill Bryson's book about him is very good.
