i'm going to whine... i'm feeling ancient and very sorry for myself tonight.

my goddaughter had a baby on the weekend.

yes, it's happy news, but here i am 17 years her senior with a stupid empty pointless life... and all i can think of is all the dreams i had for myself when she was born.

I got the maintenance error too.

So, I don't know if this harmony group is for me. The director showed up really late, and then kept us late as well. Bad impression.

Also, I don't get to sing what I want for my tryout. And, the deaf older lady (there's always a deaf older lady wherever I sing, I swear, which is probably a sign) started in about Chardon, and I don't effin' want to talk about it, ever. (Clue: someone walks quickly away after you raise a subject? Do not pursue her.)

I don't know. Maybe this is all an excuse. It's hard. I'm right in between lead and baritone. I've got to learn my key, once and for all.

Finally: DOGS! Settle down and quit bugging me!

I understand maintenance has to be done on websites, but now I'm not getting updates on threads I'm subscribed to. Here's hoping it's sorted out in a day or two.

Oh, you, silly Delta Airlines...does no one in your advertising department or anywhere else in your organization know that it's "pull it taut" not "pull it taunt?" Shame on everyone involved in airing that commercial with that error.

I guess we should expect to see that word modified in the dictionary over the next few years, too?

Sorry about the news trucks. They were still talking about it all last time I saw the news.

Are you talking about barbershop music?

grrrrr... reporters!

i made the mistake of wearing a purple top today with a light coat since the temps are going UP in this part of the world!

my coat was blowing open in the breeze as i walked up the stairs to the building and a reporter stood right in front of me and stopped me.

"are you a teacher?" he asked.

no, i'm not and i walked away, but another one approached me and then a bunch started to join him.

the young murder victim in this case LOVED purple and everyone supporting her is planning to wear the colour when they come to testify and sit in court. her teacher is scheduled to the be first witness this morning.

i had to show these people my courthouse pass to get through the door....

i'm contacting the manager of operations to ask for access through a different entrance for the duration of the trial!

That's greatl, Ninja. My mom was a Sweet Adeline. Even as a kid I thought listening to the four part harmony was cool. I think about it once in a while. What got you interested?

My poor Bailey, she had her first soccer practice after school today and was so excited. She's had a cough for a few days, but I thought it was due to dry air. Last night she has a headache, and this morning she wakes up with a red rash on her cheeks and chin, and it's starting on the upper part of her arms.

I had no idea what was wrong with her, but now she has a couple blisters in her mouth and I'm thinking it's fifth disease (hand foot and mouth) - so I put a call into the Dr just in case and kept her home today (even though her contagious period is probably over!).

Poor thing. She is so disappointed. She was so excited about going to soccer.

I got in trouble this morning. DH had a dream that he came home from work with a soda and a brownie. I was cleaning and I walked up to him and took his brownie and threw it away. He was angry so he started yelling (in his sleep) at me (the real me, not dream me). He was like, Why would you do that???? He woke me up a little, so I was like What!? what are you talking about?? But he didn't say anything more after that and I went back to sleep.

He just called me up and finally told me what I did. He says that when I am in his dreams I should really try and be more considerate of his dreamland possessions.

I do that all the time. I take personally what 'dream people' do to me.

I'll wake up and be like 'you know, dream you is a real a-hole, and he should work on being nicer to me'.

One time someone called me while I was dreaming that I was angry at them. The phone was right next my bed so I reflexively answered it. When I heard their voice I started yelling at them for what they did in my dream. lol
