^I looked it up. Really don't see why an omelet should be so caloric. They must be obscenely large.

This makes me picture nynaeve grading it and Honeycurls grimacing:

Quote:
The best thing ever to me is having a few loud and rowdy friends over; have them complain that they're hungry and ready to eat. Jokes and insults are being thrown around the house; of course all out of love and laughter. Then those famous words come screaming out my mouth "THE FOOD IS READY". The line to the pots starts to form and one by the room begins to get quiet. The sound of forks hitting the plates and the looks on everyone's eyes fixated on their plates; not giving themselves time to breathe, because the taste of the food is so pleasing they're rushing to go back for seconds before there is no more to eat.
My grandmother, the greatest inspiration in cooking; I was always exciting to go to Grandma's to see what she was cooking. Maybe it was spinach chicken with rice, baked spaghetti or my favorite African dish "CASSAVA LEAF" yum yum! Watching her cook made me want to learn what she was putting in those pots to make me carve for more. Once I was old enough to start using the stove; I was in the kitchen burning my mother's favorite pots and pans making eggs and grilled cheese sandwiches. After burning a few pots I was band from the use of the stove so I would toast my bread in the toaster add two slices of cheese to it. Then put in the microwave for a few seconds to have the cheese melt and would smash it down a little so I could throw it back in the toaster lol.
Just painful. The semicolon abuse, "band", "fixated"! Ugh!

Going back to school tomorrow is going to be killer! It was only a week off but I pretty much never want to go back at this point! I'm excited for the semester to be over, but stressed out at all of the work that needs to be done before then! Ughhhh. I wish I could start the semester with all of the difficult and time-consuming stuff.

i'm watching a documentary on absinthe. It's in French with subtitles and I have a hard time reading 2 things a once so it's cutting into my NC.com time. Grrr.

A zombie race sounds awesome. The guacamole video was great and made me hungry. saria's hair looks beautiful straight but nowhere near as pretty as when curly. What a gorgeous day out. I might have to pause this documentary and go for a hike in the woods. Why can't they make decent cat litter anymore? I use the same brand as always and it's so dusty that my entire house is now white with litter dust. I need some green beer. I can't get warm today. Time to get out in the sun.

Ok I was just reading last night that they're doing one in Pittsburgh! I freaking love that idea. There's no way I could run in it, but I'm thinking about volunteering or something... It just seems like a fun thing to be a part of!

I thought about doing some work (work work stuff) this afternoon. That is as far as I got-thinking about it.

I slept funny last night and 12 hours after I got up, my neck still hurts.

Edit:

I tried a menthol based heat run to ease the stiffness. Bad idea. That's sunburn in a tube!

The Calories In A Three-egg Ham & Cheese Omelet | LIVESTRONG.COM

Plain three egg omelet is under 300 calories. I use butter, so over 300. With ham and cheese it's 500, but I don't get how anyone puts a 1/2 cup of cheese in an omelet. Way too much!
Ihop puts pancake batter in their omelets, and I wouldn't be surprised if other chains did the same. Plus I'm fairly sure they're more than 3 eggs. Portion sizes are ridiculous. I know people want to feel they're getting their money's worth, but portion sizes really do need to be smaller.

Had a very wild Friday night. As in wrong on multiple levels. Ended up at a strip club with some friends from my (church!) choir. Did I mention that the club is owned by a parishioner? The bar surrounds a small stage, so every seat is up close and personal.

I was approached by one of the strippers after her set- she told me I'm really pretty and she almost tried to get me on stage with her but didn't want to embarrass me. I was already on my way to tipsy and joked that if I had a few more drinks I would have considered it.

The owner was determined to get one of the other women in our group up on stage (she's been with the choir since she was about 15- which was a long time ago). Right before the night ended one of the strippers grabbed the other girl and brought her on stage and they started dancing. Then the woman who approached me earlier appeared and the next thing I know I'm pole dancing with a half-naked woman. There was some clothing removed (not gonna lie) but I didn't actually end up topless (despite multiple attempts by this stripper). And here's the really sick part of it. I'm not stressing about dirty dancing with a stripper, I'm not even really stressing about being in only my jeans and a bra (wasn't wearing anything more revealing than a bikini top- no lacey stuff or anything). I was stressing over my slight belly pooch! Yep, I definitely have issues. But at least I made it to the gym after work!

You know you are a geek when you see "DST" and think not of daylight savings time, but Deep Space... Ten? and are momentarily confused.

Time changes, not Star Trek today.

and now I'll go finish my Harry Potter book in peace.

I automatically request for half of my meal to be put in a carryout container when I dine out. Splitting the meal in half or thirds is good for your waistline and your pocketbook.

I introduced my neighbor to kale via a soup recipe and she just came over to tell me how much they loved it. She even shared it with her mom and her mom's neighbor and they both loved it. I feel so proud and happy.
