I try not even to go to Target; it's like a disappearing money pit for me.

You know what else gets to me? Bed, Bath & Beyond.

That is the funniest thing I've read in awhile. And oh so true. "If it weren’t for throwing conniption fits, we wouldn’t get any exercise at all."

My BF was too proud to tell me that he can't afford to go to the movies with me this weekend.....that's slightly adorable and a tad idiotic. I don't know which one I am leaning more towards.

Men and their damn egos.

I can answer that Wile. I used to smoke over 2 packs a day so that would be around 2.5 cigs an hour or 1 cig every 24 minutes. So the answer is probably no, he can't go an hour without a cig. : )
I love the dollar stores and will find any excuse to go. I'm out of tape! I'm out of cookies! I only have 16 AAA batteries left! I need one of those gigantic lighters they have at the checkout counter!

For some odd reason we got a HUGE catalog from Restoration Hardware the other day (I've never ordered from them nor shopped there, but I know the type of stuff they carry) and Mr. Spring went nuts over it. He's absolutely not into any type of decorating or home design, but he would not let me recycle that catalog and it's a monster. How is he all of a sudden interested in interior design and what is he not telling me?

Looks like I'm a great aunt for the 3rd time. At least he's married to this baby momma.

I wish I didn't feel so cynical about this.

Okay, I'll gladly decry Hollywood whitewashing, but there was outcry about Katniss being a person of color because she has olive skin and dark hair? The ****? That doesn't make her not white. She also has a blond blue-eyed mother and sister.
I can get behind the idea that it's kind of wrong there were only white people in district 12, but to say that it was "generally accepted" by fans that Katniss is a person of color? News to me!

I like seeing those types of articles, because it is important and true, and more times than not people will justify over and over how it's okay that minorities aren't represented, but this is a poor example. The rest of the article was good on the money, but that just made me shake my head.

Parts of Appalachia are pretty white, so I didn't expect many POC. But, I did think that Katniss and her father may have been Melungeon. Fits the region.

The movie at least put some POC in 12.

If my period is now synchronizing with my foster dog's cycle, I'm going to be annoyed.
