I'm glad I worked late today. I got two "You look way younger than your age" and finally a curly compliment from a guy! It was probably the only highlight of my day unfortunately. Its the little things I guess.

Ugh. The assumptions we make about people. He has a great voice, though.

Thank you.

Of course, my mother just gave me a hard time when I said I'd take-off work for the services Thursday and Friday. She said, "Fine. Fine. Don't listen to me, just get fired again."

My neighbors are stealing my packages and newspapers. I'm convinced.

I cancelled my newspaper subscription because of it. But my ModCloth dress? And bag?! Oh hell naw. I'm ready to fight, Scott Pilgrim style.

My boyfriend called me from work today...

Him: You get anything in the mail today?
Me: Yep! I got the dress I was waiting for. You also got something. It's from Thailand, I think, and feels like clothing.
Him: Nope, that's for you, too!

It was a dress he found on Ebay for me!

the good news is that one of the two murder trials going on at my office has gone to the jury.

the bad news is that a coroner's inquest into a cop-killing opened today. and since the regional coroner is located in our city, it's taking place in our courthouse.

Saria is right. I was in on the rhubarb pie conversation though and mentioned I'd never had it and probably wouldn't because it's tart and I'm not crazy about tart. Of course I'd try it if someone put it in front of me because hello? It's pie.

Thank goodness the rain let up and we were able to walk around the botanical gardens today. And the ocean! It was all violent and thrashy and beautiful. Now to figure out how to spend the rest of the week doing fun things even though it's supposed to rain. We have to drive across the Golden Gate even if we can't see it for the fog. Dad has to get to do that!

~~~~~
Hugs and thoughts to everyone who needs them.
Jeep - Pita So sorry.
I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
I'm mostly okay with those, but I desperately wished for a different person to ring up my large lingerie purchase at TJ Maxx recently. It's awkward having a guy ring up a whole bunch of panties and bras that are clearly for you. He even commented how I was having a lingerie party.
you dont know embarrassment until youve been in the shoes of an small asian man trying to buy condoms
So much for sunny California! I'm hoping we'll just have light showers a couple of days so we can at least get out and roam around. Either way we'll have a good time together.
