Why do I know so many stupid people? I guess everyone knows a lot of stupid people, but I feel like lately my ratio of dumb to smart is higher than usual.

Calcium pills. Seriously, I was in SO MUCH PAIN. I was leaving work to come home and puke my guts out when it'd start. And calcium pills starting a couple days ahead of time seem to keep the worst at bay. Phew!
Job? You have a job FINALLY? Someone got their head out of their backsides to realize how much they'd be missing out on if they didn't hire you? Yay! Congrats! (And the job isn't worth it if they would fire you over going to a funeral. Period.) I'm sorry for the loss. Just excited to see you mention a job.

It just figures. I'm writing a novel roughly based on some of my dating horror stories and I finally have the craziest, most outrageous story to add. And I can't use it in good conscience.

Corinna, you HAVE TO use the story!!! MUST!!!!
this is where the phrase "the names have been changed to protect the guilty" comes in!
what are the chances of the person reading it?

Well, here's the situation. I grew up in a fairly small, rural community. I was basically asked out to dinner (as I'm a date) by someone that I was friends with back in middle school and high school. The thing is that back then, he was actually a she. Because of the small town thing, even if I changed names people would know exactly who I was talking about.

I know that Bill Maher article is making the rounds and everybody loves it, but he includes things that ARE wrong and offensive along with stupid, inconsequential issues. If something is sexist or racist there should be people speaking out against it. Talking about how dull things would be reeks of those who complain about "political correctness", and not surprisingly, a lot of the people lauding the article are people who've never given so much as a passing thought to their privilege.

The cranberry buckle I made at work was loved by everyone but the guy who puts ketchup on everything (fish, Mexican food, Indian food, everything), who said it's "too sour".
I cannot with the constant mental/emotional health and enlightenment superiority. Yep, I got it a while ago: you're very independent. Congratulations.

I just tried to type "aww".
My hand slipped down a key after the a.
The "s" key is right below the "w" key.

I'm sorry to hear about Mr. Harley and really hope he's okay.
I have to say, when I hear about so many well-loved pets with caring owners it really warms my heart. While I know it's an extremely difficult thing to go through, those pets are so lucky to have you all to ease their discomfort and help them through it.

Just when I was beginning to despair about humanity, an acquaintance did something unexpectedly awesome. It totally made my day.

good news... one of the two murder trials is over; the jury returned a verdict a couple of hours ago (guilty of first degree murder).
there was only one news crew outside this morning; at least it was CBC with that gorgeous, tall Liam Neeson look-a-like!

How come Ed saves up his stinky poop for when I get home? Why can't he drop a stinky before I get in so I don't nearly pass out from the smell?
And how does a cat produce such stinky poops?

Just when I've spent a week doing all of the world's laundry (or what feels like it anyway) - I have a kid get pink eye and now my laundry room is full again.
Sigh.

Thanks for all the good thoughts. Mr Harley is still in ICU but sounds chipper, for a grumpy old man. I'm sure he's made most of the nurses cry by now. : )
I've still been unable to pick up the phone to make an appointment for Pita. I've tried but just can't do it yet. Soon tho.
2 hours at the dentist today included and severe anxiety attack which I haven't had in years. But I kept it together so the dentist never knew that I felt like I was gonna die. I try not to be a drama queen.
I can finally feel my face enough to have some tea without half of it falling out of my mouth. : )
