Sigh. One of my FB friends (the one who has a collection of Loboutins) just came back from an island getaway with her long-term boyfriend. It occurs to me how nice it must be to do that, to have someone to go on vacation with, to go off alone where it's just the two of you. Then I see other FB friends who are in Antigua to celebrate one's bachelorette party. Bachelorette party in Antigua! In general they always seem to be traveling and partying. One did a tour around Asia not too long ago.
What the hell, universe? It's really something to see others live without a care in the world while knowing you can barely afford to take a week or two off from work, and forget actually going somewhere.
Really, I'm happy for them. But why do things have to be so unbalanced that I feel like I'm 0 for life? Can't I at least have one since I can't have the other? It's not enough to have the bulk of the money I work for go towards paying debt, which keeps me tied down, but you have to throw in a complete lack of a love life, too?
