My mom's my human crockpot. I just don't trust a cooking item without someone there! But I will prepare everything and put it in the pot, and give her instructions on what number to point the dial toward. I will probably call and remind her to start and stop when I want her to as well. Then I'll let it cool overnight, scoop out the fat, and repeat the process. I just don't have a weekend free to do it myself in the near future (and especially not before we have a seder!) so have to let her do it, and hope she doesn't boil it uncovered and lose all the liquid or something.

Was a thread just deleted? I swear I saw something like, "I can not believe I thought this was romantic."

1. "Bikini" is not a verb. It is a noun.

2. The photo editing site "Blingee" has become horribly glaring and difficult to use.

Ooh. I wonder if they fixed the feature where if a post (spam) was deleted at the end of the thread it would stay showing out of order. That was an old thread started by Springcurl about how gross the Luke and Laura storyline was and she couldn't believe she'd bought into it at the time. A spammer posted on it to bump it up, so the spam message is probably gone. (I saw it with the spammer - don't somehow magically remember all that from the thread title!)

Argggh!!!

A friend of mine sent out a safe the date with camo stuff (it is for her daughters wedding) and it said something about how she finally caught him. As you can probably tell I did not get an invite I am repeating what I was told about it. The stamp was in camo too.

Hee. I wish I had all my old AAA 'trip-tics'. But I do still have some favorite maps.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand a 30 second Arya and Gendry scene makes my day.

I love this series but I think these two are going to be the highlight for me - I just hope we get to see a lot of them.

Haven't read the books but I'm all for Gendry for kicking that whiney Jeffory's ass.

SIB, that's so sweet!

I MUST have a map in my lap when we travel. We use a GPS, but I can't go on a road trip without my handy atlas that I customized. It's spiral bound so I took the spiral out, removed the things I didn't want and put two maps together, one large scale and one small scale and put the spiral back in. Don't ask why because it's stupid to anyone else but me. Maps rule.

Please don't lecture me. I don't want to figure things out. I just want to avoid acknowledging things from time to time. Its all I can do to maintain my sanity. My rejection from nursing school will have to wait until I am mentally prepared for the *****-out I am anticipating.

Want to go to the new Aquarium?
My sis and I were just talking about that earlier. I want to take my nephew (but someone told her that you only get 20 mins and then they kick you out. She makes my head hurt)

I don't know what to do for my friend who lost her sister in November She's just so sad. My friend is 23 and her sister was 20. It was sudden (a drug overdose.) It's just so terrible and I know she's struggling with a ton of guilt that she should have been able to help her. I wish I knew how to help her.

Some providers have dropped Soapnet, but not all are going to. DirecTV says they have no plans to drop it, but who knows?

Yesterday I had my first regular solo with the larger of the two choirs (well, my first since I re-joined in September). I also had a solo in the cantata performance last night.

I just listened to recordings of both songs, and I couldn't believe it was me! In a good way!!

First two LoK episodes up on iTunes for free! I've seen them and am dying for April 21, but it's still pretty cool that they're free.
Another preview clip where everything is Makorra and nothing hurts!

- Ah! Graduate school! I now have my list of all the places I'm applying. There are 8 schools - 6 masters'/specialist programs, and 2 doctoral programs. Wahoo! It's so weird to have that list, but such a relief as well. I have this cute little binder labeled "grad school" and everything, with all my info compiled in it. Before, I was looking all over the country. Then I realized that even if I got into a school somewhere far away from one of the 2 cities my fiance and I are considering living in, I totally wouldn't go. So I'll save myself the aggravation of those apps, not to mention the application fees. That makes life so much simpler.

- My credits from my study-abroad program transferred in today. I got 8 credits from it. Cool! That's $3,000 saved. What a relief.

- I really think school psychology is the perfect field for me. I've done a bunch of exploring and looking around, but I really feel like I've settled on the right one for sooo many reasons. I love psychology but I do not want to be a clinical psychologist or a therapist (and thank goodness, because getting into one of those programs is like trying to get into medical school). And I don't want to go into research/academia - I want to do something applied. And I know for a fact that I want to work with kids, and that child development is something I am super excited and passionate about. Plus there's a lot of flexibility (more-so if you go the PhD route), decent pay, and the potential for a very family-friendly work schedule.

- I miss my fiance! He's considering transferring to be close to me, but we're waiting to see where I get into graduate school first, then we'll figure out if it's possible. I want to get married and live together already.
