My mom's my human crockpot. I just don't trust a cooking item without someone there! But I will prepare everything and put it in the pot, and give her instructions on what number to point the dial toward. I will probably call and remind her to start and stop when I want her to as well. Then I'll let it cool overnight, scoop out the fat, and repeat the process. I just don't have a weekend free to do it myself in the near future (and especially not before we have a seder!) so have to let her do it, and hope she doesn't boil it uncovered and lose all the liquid or something.

Ooh. I wonder if they fixed the feature where if a post (spam) was deleted at the end of the thread it would stay showing out of order. That was an old thread started by Springcurl about how gross the Luke and Laura storyline was and she couldn't believe she'd bought into it at the time. A spammer posted on it to bump it up, so the spam message is probably gone. (I saw it with the spammer - don't somehow magically remember all that from the thread title!)

i still use maps and have all the maps of my travels in the US in a box with all my routes carefully marked in now-faded highlighter!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand a 30 second Arya and Gendry scene makes my day.

I love this series but I think these two are going to be the highlight for me - I just hope we get to see a lot of them.

Haven't read the books but I'm all for Gendry for kicking that whiney Jeffory's ass.

SIB, that's so sweet!

I MUST have a map in my lap when we travel. We use a GPS, but I can't go on a road trip without my handy atlas that I customized. It's spiral bound so I took the spiral out, removed the things I didn't want and put two maps together, one large scale and one small scale and put the spiral back in. Don't ask why because it's stupid to anyone else but me. Maps rule.

Please don't lecture me. I don't want to figure things out. I just want to avoid acknowledging things from time to time. Its all I can do to maintain my sanity. My rejection from nursing school will have to wait until I am mentally prepared for the *****-out I am anticipating.

I don't know what to do for my friend who lost her sister in November She's just so sad. My friend is 23 and her sister was 20. It was sudden (a drug overdose.) It's just so terrible and I know she's struggling with a ton of guilt that she should have been able to help her. I wish I knew how to help her.

Some providers have dropped Soapnet, but not all are going to. DirecTV says they have no plans to drop it, but who knows?

Yesterday I had my first regular solo with the larger of the two choirs (well, my first since I re-joined in September). I also had a solo in the cantata performance last night.

I just listened to recordings of both songs, and I couldn't believe it was me! In a good way!!

First two LoK episodes up on iTunes for free! I've seen them and am dying for April 21, but it's still pretty cool that they're free.
