Oh noes....

There are new Oliver plates at CB2. Mr. Spring says we're going to be broke, but have a cabinet full of plates.

They're so CUTE. What do I do!!!

Ah ok. I wonder how this will affect the continuity of the movie series.

I saw the movie twice, really enjoyed it.
I wonder, too.

I was waiting for you to get to this one!

I think this episode is confused. It's been shown both on this show and Angel that the type of person you are influenced the type of vampire you become. This explains Spike's relationship with Drusilla and his general romantic nature (though yes, he definitely did a lot of evil things) and Angel's debauchery and sadism. There are also other cases of this that show it's not as simple as just the demon being responsible. So, either Spike's mother didn't love him and really thought all those things, even if subconsciously, or the show was being inconsistent about its general mythology.

I was wondering how your Giles-loving heart would take this.
You'd think Giles would have learned not to betray Buffy's trust after the events in Helpless. He really must need more hugs. I hate that Whedon and company destroyed their father-daughter relationship.

Yep, never announce your coming retirement. Kiss of death.
I think I'll choose to believe the option that his mother actually did subconsciously think those things, because while I don't want to sour her initial sweet "my son could be spouting Vogon-esque rhymes to me right now but everything he says is lovely to me" portrayal, Vamp!William is exactly the same as human!William at this point. It's odd to see such big writing inconsistencies within the same scene of the same episode, as if they make total sense together. It's like if we had MagicCrack and Willow and Tara's sexytime magic share a scene. I seriously am wondering about the hair, too. I seem to recall that in one of the flashbacks where Angel had his hilarious bad wig and accent, Spike already had the dye job, despite it being super-anachronistic?

I never even thought to fear for Giles's relationship with Buffy. I shouldn't have assumed that something happy wouldn't be destroyed in a Joss Whedon show. Speaking of the show-runner's sadism, are we just setting Buffy up to get punched in the face by guilt as well as grief when he pulls out the big guns and takes my Giles away?

And to the bolded: SERIOUSLY.

Yesterday, I had an interview for a position on one of my all-time favorite shows and the woman was a great admirer of my former boss and I raved on and on about how much I just simply adore him and what a wonderful mentor he was to me.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to Hell now for being a insincere LIAR.

OMG! i slept 12 hours last night!

granted i woke up twice for a while because of the WILDEST dreams, but still.....

i used to be a 6-hours each night person, but over the past couple of years i've been able to sleep longer and longer. last night i didn't even take half of an Ambien, which is usually what causes me to sleep that long.

is this something you'd mention to the doctor?

Is it weird that I can't wait to wash and wear the new undies and bra I bought last night?!

They're just so darned cute! Well, the undies are, at least. The bra is boring.

And...she just sits back snickering and smirking at all the trouble she caused. One poster timed-out because she couldn't control her emotions, many others upset, feeling ostracized. And the real culprit...is laughing and posting and coding, without any consequences at all...

No shame.

Curious - why are you washing them if they're new?

^I guess you missed that topic about how apparently it's the norm to wash new clothes before wearing them, and as for new underwear, well what's wrong with you?!

I always wash new underwear before I wear it. It's going next to a very delicate place and I know for a fact (use to work in retail) that many stores allow people to try on underwear in the store and to return it (so you they had to of tried them on to know they don't fit right)

I only wash undergarments before wearing them. It grosses me out to think that other people have been digging through those bins in the store, and/or trying on the bras. I like to think that people really don't try on panties, but I guess you never know!

I love wearing new, unwashed clothes though... Especially jeans! Everything fits so nicely when they're right off the rack!

I must have, because I've never heard of this before, and it never occurred to me for new clothes (thrift store/second hand/ hand me downs, obviously.)

None of the places where I buy underwear allow this. That would be gross.

Yeah, I've never bought underwear from a place that allowed you to take it with you into the fitting rooms. Well, bras yes, but definitely not panties.

A lot of posters (or maybe most) said they wash new clothes before wearing them because people try them on. I guess I live dangerously, because I really don't think about that. I'm sure people try on my clothes, but the thought just really doesn't bother me. New clothes fit wonderfully and look great. Plus I am really impatient about wearing them, so no way I'm ever going to wait until after washing them.
