I do not wash new clothes before wearing...not even underwear. I live on the edge. A certain amount of germs are good for us...keeps the immune system challenged, and us healthier.

Guess who had Mt. Tam straight from the creamery yesterday? What's that? Why yes, it was really good.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

You can't mess these up, believe me. And the first time I made Brazilian cheese bread they weren't the best either, but my second go was much better.
Those little cheese puffs are like crack, especially with smoked gouda.
And that picture is gorgeous. You about to get your juice on?

My first thought for smoked Gouda was gougeres, so it's funny that springy suggested them as well. I love making pate a choux, so of course I think you should make them.
Mmm, Mt. Tam. I'm probably going to grab the other cheeses they have from them, too. I think one was called Red Hawk.

Mr. Spring also picked up Inverness, which was SUPER gooey soft and very earthy. I'm still deciding if I like it. They also suggested some sort of cloth wrapped hard Cabot cheese (we haven't tried yet) that "compliments the Mt. Tam nicely", whatever that means. I just wanna eat it. I tried not to choke when I saw the receipt for only 3 cheeses.
I can thank my step mom for introducing me to gougeres. Thank or slap, I'm not sure which.

Heh, I thought the Mt. Tam was pricey, but then I considered that it was one pound, and the Brillat Savarin was more per pound, so it seemed like a good deal (I bought it because I was craving on my days off). Every few days I cut off a piece of Brillat Savarin and Morbier (mmm, Morbier) at work. "Oh, I have to do this cheese plate ticket? Darn!"

Got my car back. Door handle was broken, ignition messed up, 350$ just to get it out of impound, but worse of all my daughter's apparrels were missing. For some reason that set me off more than anything. I was so pissed that I went on a shopping binge for Sirin. NEVER SHOP IN ANGER

OBB
And ridiculous that you have to pay to get it out when it was stolen.

(((OBB))) I'm glad you at least got it back, but it sucks that even that had to come with more problems.
BTW, I couldn't click 'like' about a post detailing such suckiness, but this:
This is awesome. Also, I love the imagery of your last post.

Not sure I like that...
I didn't do anything yesterday other than stand up to someone who was being a bully. I didn't do the bullying. I didn't get anyone (temporarily) banned...and actually I think the WRONG person got the time-out. I obviously have no power here. What exactly did I do that scared you?

Oh, and I'm really sorry your car got jacked, OBB. Glad you got it back, but there's something really wrong in a world where the victim has to pay ransom to get their stolen possessions back from from the police. "To protect and serve" my ass...

Washing them still gives me peace of mind I dont consider myself to be a germophobe but I do have high standards when it comes to sharing and caring. If I don't know where your mouth has been, you aren't sipping off my straw. If you only bathe every other Thursday, you cannot borrow my bikini bottoms. Just sayin.

Kind of strange to think that exactly 100 years ago this moment, Titanic was slowly sinking.
