Well, here's the thing...I sort of can't find the recipe I used last time when they came out good. I have such dreams of being organized.. *sigh* LOL BUT! I came across a recipe last night that I'll be trying next time. Pão de Queijo | Evan's Kitchen Ramblings That blog got it from the King Arthur Flour Blog so you can look at their step-by-step of making it and comparing flours as well. The tapioca flour I bought is from Bob's Red Mill. Maybe our resident chef can chime in with any tips or recipe suggestions.

Pão de queijo is made with tapioca starch. It's what gives it and the similar Colombian breads (pandeyuca, pandebono) its distinctive texture. Pão de queijo should have a texture similar to pandebono: soft, fluffy, kind of chewy almost. It will have holes, but not the way a pandeyuca does, which is completely hollow.

Hmm, having read this, it might be why really gorgeous reds end up looking god-awful on me. Granted I know it's that I just don't wear makeup, but I've always loved the look of red lipstick and wouldn't mind finding one that actually works on me.

I'm fair skinned (with blue veins/pink undertones), and reds look horrible on me, too. I dream of finding the perfect shade (and intensity/texture/finish) to give me that chic, classic look.

I've recently discovered Ellis Faas (damn living on a remote island!). From what I've read, the blood red actually looks like blood and is supposedly flattering on all skin tones. Haven't had the nerve to cough up $35 just to try it out. Maybe a trip to San Juan is in order

I bought a couple that were beautiful on the hand, but ugh, once on my lips my face looked so sallow and the red just completely garish.
I was looking both for that bright cherry red type and more of a wine red (I've seen Halle Berry rock that perfect shade of red).

my perfect red is a long-ago LE colour from MAC called Ruby Darling. i have two tubes of it;one still in the box. i keep them in the freezer and slice a bit off and put it in a tiny container when i want to wear it! *sigh*
