I'm on an avocado kick right now, must.eat.all.the.avocados!

I'm super sad that I can't seem to find those huge avocados I'm used to. All the avocados here a tiny, I have to buy two of them because my bf loves avocado as well.

I had the same thought, Amneris.

Saria, you haven't paid me to think your hivemind thoughts for you. I'm sending you a bill.

So cool!

I worked for NASA from age 16 -18 as a clerk typist. I saw the first payload on the first shuttle. This is bittersweet for me.

That's so cool. I understand the bittersweetness. That's why I was so glad to see it in person.

My Trader Joes had both Carmelized Onion Dip AND Cookie Butter in stock. I am one happy camper!!!

We also saw the Space Shuttle here outside our office this morning. Sometimes living close to DC is cool! (sometimes...)

it turned into a circular argument with the same people saying the same things over and and over and over some more.

i think we need to step back and get SOME distance from it. the topic will always be there and will not go away. we can't solve it by going round in circles...

Not a shock.

You know, I get that the bottom line is more important. And that's fine...if it were me, I'd probably put my money before the feelings of internet people. But don't pretend that you actually care about those feelings. I'd rather the issue be completely ignored than be "addressed" the way it has.

Yeah, but that's true of most of the intense threads here. I thought locking was to be reserved for threads that degenerate into bickering and rudeness and people do not respond to warnings.
Or is that one of those board rules that is open to interpretation?

whoa!

i've been on PoF for 7 long years and i always read men on their forums whining about how women won't respond to their emails, but they trotted out TWO MORE women this morning at the child murder trial where the accused met and dated from that site - again in early 2009. i think that's 8 or 9, not including his alleged accomplice and another 1 or 2 women... there have been SO many!!!

i'm not sure what that says about the women or about him...

Amneris, you've been here long enough to know that threads get locked for a few reasons, and them going around in circles is one of them, I've seen it several times. They don't always get locked because of bickering and name calling...gimme a break.

Everything here is open to interpretation.

Email Gretchen and ask her why she locked the thread or whatever. They said they are working on getting new mods, revamping the rules and so on. Just let it go and see where things end up when they are done doing that. if you still aren't happy, stop posting here and start your own board where you can have the control that you're looking for.

Or threads in which mods are criticized. I think that was the real reason for the shutdown.

My bolognaise sauce lacked tomato

I thought an alternative board was made years ago for people who weren't happy with the way things were here.

I'm getting my hair done tomorrow, no more looking scruffy for me!

I really need to kick my sugar habit.
