Well, this is all his fault since he asked for the eggs instead of the very easy bean salsa. I could be dumping cans of beans and doing a little easy chopping instead.
Timer just went off, wish me luck!

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Good luck!
The swimsuit thread made me remember that I've never worn a bikini in my life. It's not like I'm a prude, but it just seems like way too much exposure. I feel self-conscious just thinking about it!

They're just called garden hoses, or simply a hose. Hose pipe does sound naughty.

I actually really like peeling eggs. It's a challenge to try and get it all off in one piece.
In other news, I am tired of sneezing.

I like peeling eggs that cooperate, it's kind of fun! I hate the ones that just tiny little pieces of shell come off and most of it doesn't want to come off at all and leaves the egg all dented and ugly. I'm hoping these eggs are old enough that they'll peel easily. *knock on wood*

Oh ex bf... I know it took 6 mo after our break up to realize you'd made a mistake and ask if you could come back. That's why I find it funny that you are now constantly scouring my FB page, 6 mo after our 2nd break up. Tisk, tisk! You're in a "relationship" now. A fact you easily seem to forget.

I say that Mr. Spring should peel them. My husband loves it when I make him deviled eggs, but he knows that he has to peel them since I hate it so much.

I liked having dinner by myself, although it was a bit lonely and quiet. I'll have to kick out my family more often

Operation deviled egg was a success and I only had a few difficult participants and one sacrifice. Nobody was stabbed, yay! It got a little scary there at the end when I feared not having enough filling. Oh, the trials and tribulations I've faced today.
FC, you saying Mr. S should peel them made me realize I have no idea if he has ever peeled an egg.

I'm in complete panic mode thinking "if only I had worked HARDER since graduating, I would have had a great job and been on my own and so successful that I could adopt a child without a marriage if I wanted to"...not true, right???? I don't think I could have worked any harder. I really HAVE done my best...I've had exciting jobs, but they have never paid above the NY poverty line...I've had relative success as a writer compared to other aspiring writers, but it comes and goes so fast. When a project is over, it feels like a failure no matter how great it was.
I feel desperately far behind everybody.

CIBC, don't you dare doubt yourself. You've accomplished more at your age than I have at 37 or probably ever will. You've got drive, ambition, and talent and you already are a success.

I heard shocking them in cold water helps them peel better. Also supposedly fresher eggs peel better than older eggs.
There you go-you have all my egg knowledge.

I do put them in cold water, but I've always heard the opposite about the age of the egg. Go figure! I think it's just luck.

I'm making my mom's oven fried chicken recipe for dinner tonight. I haven't had it in years, but it just sounded good.
---------------------------
I talked to Davin's pediatrician today and felt so much better. I've been saying for months that I think he has a slight speech delay, and my family and friends keep telling me I'm nuts. "He's a boy! They talk later than girls!" "You're just comparing him to Danae." Um, no, the boy only says about 15 words regularly and mostly grunts and points. His pediatrician agrees that he's a little behind. She told me to write down all of his words for the next 30 months, and if he's not at around 50 words and starting to make small phrases to let her know so we can get him some speech therapy. It was nice to be heard! I knew I wasn't crazy!
