So I finally e-mailed my mom about my rejection from the nursing program. I'm painfully awaiting her response/lecture. Hopefully the news of my scholarship will soften the blow a little.

Curse Saria for introducing me to STFU, Parents. Once I start, I get sucked in and can't stop.

By the way, just because your kid came early does not make her a preemie. She was 6+ pounds for goodness sakes!!

Great. Now I've gotten sucked in to that site, too!

My favorite posts are the ones where a status starts off about something completely unrelated to kids, and then some annoying parent turns it into one about THEIR kids! *headdesk*

It's enough to make me never want kids.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

I just want to do what I want to do when I want to do it.
Waaahhhh I don't know what to make for dinner. I have shrimp in the freezer, I guess I can make some sort pasta to go with it, even though we had pasta last night. I don't feel like making rice but might out of laziness.

Why don't you make shrimp-fried rice?
I am so worried about offending someone with the preemie comments.... Please don't be. I am only referring to the person on that particular site. I do know what a preemie is and when a baby is considered a preemie. My cousin's wife delivered a 2 pound baby at 21 weeks. That is where my frame of reference was when I read about a 6 lb preemie.
I wish little Mr. Calvin would be ok. This constant worry and his myriad of problems keeps me constantly on edge and scared. He's been puny and not his rambunctious and happy self the last couple days and is moving slow. So sad to see him so sad.

As divided a batch of dough in three and wasn't happy with the flavoring for one of the thirds, I decided to just make another third and try again. And this makes me appreciate baker's percentages so much. And that I can actually do simple math, unlike an alarming number of people.
And also, my scale, because exact weight makes this so much easier.
