You do know you can just put whatever you want in fried rice, right? You can make and shrimp fried rice for example.
Bwahahaha!!! I aim to please

I LOVE shrimp fried rice, one of my favs. The times I've had it with peas and eggs in it, it was just very meh.

Don't you need a wok for shrimp fried rice? How would I get my rice to be that golden color? I wish I had a pic to show what I mean.

Ideally you need a wok, but you can make fried rice in a regular skillet. You just need to get it nice and hot because stir-frying is all about quick cooking.
The color is from the soy sauce.

My vertical flood is due to
A) a leak upstairs
B) a flood in the roof
C) the rain coming through a dodgy part of the wall
D) a combination of all three

Great

Also egg fried rice is amaze-balls

I am swimming 12+ miles this week. I am exhausted and can't stop eating. My first race is next weekend (3 miles). I'm starting to get nervous.

When I collect enough bacon scraps I make bacon and egg fried rice for staff meal. Any kind of fried rice for family meal gets a happy reaction.

Co-worker: How difficult is it to just respond to my email? If you can't work for me that day, that's fine! But I need to know one way or the other! A simple "yes" or "no" will suffice! I won't be butthurt or anything. I just need to know, so that I can either confirm or cancel my plans that day!

On another note:

Special K Fruit Crisps are DELICIOUS! They taste like crunchy little pop-tart bites! I love them!

Hmm, I think I'll wait to try shrimp fried rice. I don't have anything big enough to make it in.

What is gumbo and orzo?

Orzo is a Greek pasta shaped like rice. It's called risoni in some countries.

Gumbo is a New Orleans dish (stew) that can be made with sausage, shrimp, chicken, and technically should contain okra but a lot of people leave it out. It's delicious, but frankly a huge leap for you.

I brought my daughter food and forgot a fork. Whoops. I hope her fingers are clean.

Hmm I *may* try gumbo one day (I wouldn't be the one making it of course). Maybe.

I'm trying to force myself out of my picky-ness but it's hard!

This reminds me of a short story. Last year, my sis wanted me to try kale (I think). I believe it was baked, some green leaf. I said ok, whyyyy did I agree? It was nasty!! I swear, it tasted the way a dead mouse smells. It was so unbelievably awful. My sis thought I was nuts but that's what it tasted like.

It's not my favorite, but I hope you try it again some day. It can be really delicious.

Good luck -- I'm sure you'll do great! A friend of mine is doing her first triathlon in a month or so. She's freaking out a bit.

One of my favorite things about being single:

Leaving my phone for a few hours, unchecked, and not worrying that I've missed a bunch of text messages, and therefore not having to do any damage control because he got all butthurt over it. (<--- I'm loving the word butthurt lately, obviously)

Look, before that makes me sound like a completely selfish monster... Dude asked a LOT of questions. It gave me headaches, some days. Nobody wants to be asked that many questions.

It was like this: Harvard Sailing Team - Boys Will Be Girls - YouTube
