I really like the mojito salmon there. We tried it when we were living in a hotel and having to do microwave cooking and it's yummy.

A local girl has been getting suspensions and detentions for not saying the pledge of allegiance in her public school. How freaking nuts.

I'm pretty sure that's a violation of the girl's Constitutional right to free speech. It's going to cost that town a lot of money in lawyer and court and judgment fees, because they are going to lose when it gets to court.

I wish my kids were strong enough to take the stand this girl has...my kids just go along, because they don't want to get in trouble. @@

It annoys me when people give their children names they can't spell, such as Chloe. It's not spelled C-L-O-E-Y. Yes, you might know how these names are traditionally spelled and you just wanted to be different. But I doubt it.

Other spellings that annoy me: Totyanna, Demetree and Antwan...Antwan just plain makes me stabby.

One would think so. Public opinion, of course, has already labeled the girl and her family as unpatriotic losers who need to move to Iraq. Yinzers. Mediation hasn't worked, do it looks as if it's going to a suit.

The Pledge of Allegiance is so weird anyway. We always had to say it when we were kids and I always thought it was bizarre, especially in Christian school. I mean, weren't we supposed to be loyal to God over all?

I have a longing for the old Fisher Price record player we had as kids.

Why? It does say one nation under God.

I'm against having children pledge allegiance to any thing. They are CHILDREN! Having them recite the allegiance by rote teaches them nothing, at best...most don't even understand it. All weve managed in 60-70 years of POA recitation is to teach American citizens not to take pledges seriously. At worst, it's very Hitler-Youth-esque.

The Under God part was inserted as propaganda during the Cold War. The whole thing is anti-American and Big Government intrusive. It galls me that ignorant folks are calling this girl and her family unpatriotic. Pure ignorance.

This is getting ridiculous now. I've had back ache for 4 days just because (I think) I sat and worked long hours at the computer!

And today the heel of my foot is just randomly too painful to put any weight on. I feel like an old woman!
