Sure thing, for cookies. Besides, I know how infirm you've grown in your dotage, so I'll do it just to "pay it forward" --- you know, as a kindness to the elderly.

Korbin made himself a bowl of cereal and it slipped out of his hand as he was putting it on the table. The whole bowl dumped out all over him and the floor. Normally spills get a flurry of apologies, but this time he is MAD. He was ranting up a storm. He kept going on about how he just made that bowl and he didn't get one bite. And now he has to change his clothes and clean up the mess and make ANOTHER bowl, and then it was the laundry . . . THE MESSES NEVER END! Oh and his quarters were in his pocket and they got all wet!

I am trying really hard not to laugh at him right now. I already got in trouble for it once. Mom! stop laughing, this is serwious!

Doing my hair and makeup feels like so much work today, for some reason.

Heh, the crazy tanning lady says the people who are making fun of her are "jealous, ugly, and fat." Methinks her self-perception is a little wonky.

Well, ugly and fat are up to the beholder, but I cannot be jealous of a woman who tanned herself the color of her sofa.

ETA. I also think this is mental illness related, and who'd be jealous of that?

Siri types my posts for me.

I thought I was the only one who cringed at embarrassing episodes!

Yeah, she has serious issues. Why anyone would be jealous of someone that looks so unnatural is beyond me.

I do. too! I can't stand seeing people--real or fictional--embarrassed. It makes me really uncomfortable. It's why I've never been able to watch The Office.

I have no idea where to even start lol (asking for advice I mean!)

Jobseekers have a scheme for setting up your own business. I'm considering it - but I have a) terrified and b) have no idea what I'm doing and c) don't have a lot of time to apply for it.

I have two ideas - one is an online craft business selling my handmade leather journals.

The other is more scary - opening up a bookstore. Kind of a dream job but something I am possibly too young and inexperienced for? Ive never even had work experience in a book store, i just frequent them a lot and review books online.

If a bookstore was successful (big if)I would obviously be tied down to wherever I opened...

Dad reckons I should combine the two.

But for either idea I have no idea if there is really a need for them. Both are things I am passionate about but also seem almost like common 'dreams' if you know what I mean. I'm sure many people have wanted to own a bookstore, or sell sketchbooks...
I sell "leather" scrapbooks and journals online.

HA! I might actually be qualified to help :-)

Two biggest things that you need to start:
- finished products (and great pictures of that product)
- A name

That's it. Don't let everyone bog you down with a ton of other things. If you are worried about business licenses and all that other stuff, you will have to check into the rules but the general rule in the US (I believe you are in the UK) is that it is considered a hobby until you make over $600 in profit.

Once you get a name and a product, I can help you with the next steps

i know these may seem small, but they are a big deal. It's the first steps to getting your business going. Actually creatinig a finished product is a big deal. picking a name is a big deal. But the greatest part, is that both can be changed at any time.:-)

Next Steps

- building simple light box to take pictures
- editing pictures
- Where to sell
- marketing

ETA:
i must have lost my last post

The name of my shop is Slightly Embellished. If I had to do it all over again, I would pick something shorter and something easier to make a logo/marketing package for

The administration at my school is ridiculous. The women in the office act inconvenienced when you ask them to do their job.
