i don't think that's lame at all.

so.... how'd you do, sweetie?

I did really well on the 4 out of 5 grades that I did get back... But of course, that one grade left is for my stats class, so I'm still not able to breathe easy until I get that one back! Getting a B would be an absolute miracle.

Thanks for asking!

Meh, Smitten Kitchen book. Putting aside my dislike for Deb, her blog when it's mostly her stuff is terribly uninteresting, and her book reflects that. Now, the Cannelle et Vanille book, on the other hand, even now that Aran has somewhat left behind the professional desserts and does "homier" stuff, is still just exciting and a breath of fresh air. Plus it'll be a great gift for gluten-free folks.

People who use commas incorrectly really bother me. I always wonder if they speak with odd pauses in normal conversation.

^^I just heard William Shatner's voice in my head as I read that post!

How does a person writing science curriculum not realize that there are many Nobel Prizes awarded each year and they are not all the Peace Prize? Also, how did four other editors have their hands on this before I got it and not know it either? Sometimes I think I work with stupid people.

Ugh, Bryke and Nickelodeon are clearly trying to keep this episode under wraps, but it's killing me that we don't have so much as a screencap. Have you learned nothing?! You're just begging for leaks.
At least we'll get something good a day before the episode with the Republic City game.

It is 10:46. I should not be this hungry.

Also, I have gained two pounds in the last two weeks and I don't like this fact, nor am I sure how it happened.

Probably because I'm always so freaking hungry.

He's pretty darn close! I have such a fangirl crush on that man. If I ever went to a signing, I would probably just blush and stammer all over myself, then kick myself later for thinking of the proper witty thing to say.

(((xcptnl))) I'm so sorry. I know my mom is going through the same sadness this year, too. It sucks.

My husband was so excited that my mother's day gift came yesterday that he had to give it to me immediately. I forgot I was wearing it until I just bumped it. It's a necklace with a little silver nest with a blue stone egg in it - so cute!

I'm sorry xcptnl. I posted before I saw yours.

Sonia Sotomayor was just on Sesame Street! I love that show so much. Where else can you see a Supreme Court Justice teach preschoolers about the justice system?

I love pronouncing her surname:

Soto-may (wavy tongue trill here) or!

(I know it's spelled with a "j".)

I must sound like a redneck The Shat (Shatner, we call him The Shat) when I talk if it's anything like my typing. I throw around commas like they grow on trees! I should have paid more attention to punctuation in school, alas I did not. Semi-colon? Where do I stick THAT thing??

~~~~~~
I know I should make mother's day cards, but I'm so NOT inspired and I'll be buying them instead. This also means I have to get off my duff and actually go get them so they can go out tomorrow and maybe get there on time. Why do I procrastinate so much?
I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
