Last weekend was fun because I hadn't seen him in about a month Oh, and I managed to beat him at Scrabble (three times)
This particularly amused me because one of my favorite musicians refers to sex as scrabble when he has all ages audiences.

I cannot even do the pencil liner. I am soooooo inept at that kind of stuff.

This is why I don't wear makeup. Complete ineptitude to the point where I just about want to cry. As easy as tutorials make it look, it's not!
Plus even when other people have done my makeup, I've yet to think it makes me look better and not worse. A little bit here and there was okay, but full-on eye makeup has always made my eyes look smaller.
Could also be because you're flipping gorgeous and don't need it?!

In other news: I'm watching The Voice, and man... Adam Levine. So freaking gorgeous. It hurts my eyes.
Rou should just do a west coast tour - it wouldn't cost so much if we all chipped in!

And as for Adam - meh. I've never gotten the appeal of his looks, but his kindness toward the contestants is wonderful. And also, he picked Tony, so what's not to love about him?

Lamingtons look delicious. You can't go wrong with chocolate & coconut, and sponge cake. Dammit, I'm hungry!

I can't wait to get my car out of the shop today. It was making the most pitiful noise. *cough cough*

Aw, thanks NetG.

I was underwhelmed by The Secret of Nimh. I kept seeing people on TGWTG refer to it as an underrated classic and I thought it was just okay.

hugs midgi!

My mouth keeps watering thinking about those lamingtons. I'm going to call them lardingtons because I think they would be fattening (since I would eat so many).

I get my unsweetened coconut flakes and shreds on Amazon by the case. Mmmmm.

I have a bag of unsweetened coconut and haven't used it yet. I want to make those. Then eat them all.

I found this amusing (but then I'm easily amused). Type your first name. Click and wait for the card to open. Turn on your speaker. Nothing dirty or anything. Just kind of fun.

jeep, that's a hoot!

What is OB sorry for, did they stop making them for a while or something? (never mind, I found the answer)

I know that platforms make heels more comfortable to walk in, I just hate the way they look. To me they make heels look clunky. When I bought these, I felt it was as much of a platform as I could stand to look at.

Well, I guess I'm easily amused too. I laughed out loud! Loved it. And that will probably be the first and last time I ever see my name in a tattoo. Hee

ditto bwavy. I have a name that I never see so it was kind of fun.

ditto a million times, saria. I rarely have occasion to wear heels but I love them, and I don't mind a small platform. But I really dislike these 'in style' 2-3 inch platforms. They look like the giant shoes that Kiss used to wear on stage (well, they still do). But that's show biz, not real life walking around town.
I get that a platform makes the heel seem lower. But a thick platform is still not flexible and makes everyone walk strangely and look silly no matter how good at it they are.
So how about we just wear lower heels (3-4 inches seems good) with a lower or no platform? Ok, end of my anti-platform rant.
And those shoes you posted are beautiful.

Jeep, that was too funny! Thanks for the laugh. It was weird hearing him sing my name, though.

OMG, yes on what the giant platforms look like! I hate that so many heels now have them, thereby ruining an otherwise hot pair of shoes. Seeing pics of FB friends wearing them, I can't help but think that the platforms look terrible.
And thanks. Maybe I'll find occasion to actually wear them someday.

My department is getting a lot more work with more to come. One part of the business hired a vendor to handle transportation requests for our Medicaid members. They started as of 05/01. For the last 10 days, we've gotten tons of complaints about them. The vendor keeps our members on hold for a long time, they send the cars to pick up our members later than scheduled so members are late for their doctors appointments, etc. Then, on the Medicare side of the business, we have at least 300 appeals from a non-participating lab and counting, because they've been sending bulk appeals at least once every week for the last three weeks. Everyone else is *****ing and moaning about all the increased work, but I personally don't mind it since at least the day would go by faster at the job for awhile and I won't be so bored. It makes me an oddball at the place, but then, I'm not a lazy worker, unlike most of the other people here.

^^ I haven't heard the OBSorry thing yet (only watched it) since I'm at work but I'm pretty sure he will not say my name anywhere near right. It's only 4 letters long but people rarely pronounce it correctly. So I'll forgive that cute guy for that. : )

Ok, even better with the sound up. And he pronounced my name right (tho I only hear it once. is that right?)
One of the best apology ad campaigns ever. : )

I'm going to be the weird one and say that I like platforms. I will always find Crocs and Uggs to be butt ugly. I also found those extremely pointy toed shoes ugly, but luckily, they haven't been in style for a few years.

I put my friends name in which is really really simple, 5 letters and it didn't even say it, it said GIRL instead.
