This is a convo I just had on the phone w/a woman from Jennifer convertibles:

Her: Hi, this is L speaking how may I help you?

Me: Hello, I was looking on your website and it doesn't say if the devlin set is a sofa bed. I was wondering if you could tell me if it is.

Her: It can be

Me: Does that mean I would have to buy something extra to make it a sofa bed?

Her: No, it can be a sofa bed. We also have other sofa beds if you would like to see them.

-_-

I'm guessing she meant they have 2 versions, one a sofa bed, the other a regular sofa and the sofa is only available at their show room. How hard could it have been for her to say there are 2 versions instead of "it can be"

mes amies, i am sitting here posting to you from my shady little patio!

however, some idiot who shall remain nameless (but goes by the initial R) made the canopy too big - WAY too big - and it droops in the centre something awful. anyone taller than my 5 foot 2 will have to duck or walk around the edges.

so my charming neighbour helped me measure all the way around and the whole patio is very oddly shaped, tonight i'll take it down and hem it to fit properly and we'll put it back next weekend. it also needs 5 grommets on the side against the house to lift it above the misting system - with 2, it droops below the nozzles.

either way, i can tell you that there is a noticeable temperature difference sitting under this thing.

i also touched up the Krylon Fusion paint on the patio chairs and brought out my burgundy and green palm frond print cushions. my beautiful Moroccan lantern is hanging on the wall, too. all i need is a new tablecloth and some plants for this area and it's done.

and i planted my "Patriotic Petunia Planters" - hanging baskets for the front porch that have red and white wave petunias in them.

I really think the term FML is over-used in general, but...

My Condo Association just informed us that all residents need to pony up $4,000 by July 1,2012 for a "special assessment" fee to pay for rotting wood and paintng. Or, alternately, we can pay in convenient monthly $700 installments from July to December.

These are from outside?" and so I certainly had time to agree with her and pay half the price, but I said no and told her that yes, these were those over there and paid double what the avocados outside cost. Sigh. The ones outside were still green, hence the price reduction.
This has been said about me as well; and it's darn true. Further proof that we are twinsies!

Can you guys help me? I'm trying to find a furniture store so I can look at living room sets. So far I've found:

Jennifer convertibles
Ashley furniture
Rooms to go
Value city furniture
IKEA (but from what I'm seeing they don't sell sets)

Do you guys know any other ones I can look at? I'm in northern VA if that helps

SIB, we've gotten some nice furniture at Belfort. Lots to choose from!

In other news, I guess nc.com has been spruced up a bit. I like it.

No problem, I remember seeing their commercials when I am there visiting my sister.

SIB - What about Lay-z-boy? They have couches and I don't know if our recliners are any indication of what their couches are like, but we've had ours for about 6 years are they're still going strong. We bought a set from Rooms to Go back when we first got married and in retrospect I wish we hadn't. We overpaid, the quality wasn't all that great and we didn't really need a set. I later realized I much prefer to have pieces that don't all exactly match each other. The Rooms to Go purchase was about 11 years ago though so I can't really speak for how their prices/quality are now.

ROU!!! PICTURES!! I can't wait to see how it looks! I so badly wish we had a shady spot out back so I want to enjoy pictures of yours.

There wasn't a darn mango to be found at the grocery unless I walked right by them the 3 times I circled through the produce section.

Everything's all... black, with hints of purple.

Not sure I'm a fan of that colour combo.

Oh my, am I tired.

I've gone to the bank and grocery store. Painted (the last) 2 walls in my kitchen. Stained a table top. Studied Spanish. Walked the dogs. Made dinner. And whipped up two imitation chocolate "Frosty's"

How do people with kids do it?! I'm pooped and it's only 6! Can't imagine corralling little ones at the same time.

People who raise children are saints. I have no idea how they do it either.
