Heh, first comment on an article about gluten-free flour tortillas:
Really? You can't have ANY grains?

I have to repeat myself a lot too - apparently CT-ers speak a lot faster than your average Virginian.

I think you need to stop apologizing for standing up for yourself. She more than deserved your ire.

You were nearby! Windsor's a straight shot east of me on 322.
I'd have come out and met you if I'd known. You've been in my thoughts.

I know this is snarky, but seriously, how do you trip and fall on vomit? Wouldn't you walk around it so you don't step in it?

I can already tell I'm going to be bored today. Its yucky weather, but I dont have much housework, except for laundry, to do today.
I still haven't made the beds and its 10:30. And Bella doesnt want to play a game with me
We may have to do a Disney movie day.

I want more of Kyotofu's vanilla tofu. It was by far the best dessert from the tasting. Not surprising, being their signature dessert, but really, it was so far above the other desserts.

What is vanilla tofu? The only dessert tofu I've had is the stuff they have at dim sum restaurants that comes in that sweet, ginger-y(?) hot syrup stuff.

3 more weeks until I have my own place and I am free off:
- Little bits of food and crap EVERYWHERE. Cat food on the kitchen floor and cat litter all over the bathroom. Not to mention the clutter. Oh god the cluttler will take over.
- Noise pollution, someone is ALWAYS arguing, yelling or critisizing something or someone
- a room meant for a 5 year old crammed full of 27 year old and 7 years of independence
- a disgusting bathroom. Since I know I'm moving out I've given up on keeping it clean. my brother won't lift a finger, hell he doesn't even understand how to put the cap back on the toothpaste. Filthy little hobbit.
- CONSTANT PRATTLE. Someone is ALWAYS knocking on my door or assaulting me with stuff I don't care about. GO AWAY I'M WATCHING MY STORIES AND PRETENDING YOU DON'T EXIST.
- The pressure to be someone I am not. My mother bless her heart has passed onto me her damaging coping mechanisms. It is OKAY to get angry and stand up for yourself. It is OKAY to get annoyed. It is BETTER to have an open dialogue than to fake keeping the peace by letting the loudest and more arrogant get their way.
Soon I will have peace and quiet. Soon the smell of lysol and febreeze will fill the air. Soon I can awake and not step on who knows what everytime I leave my room. Soon my clothes pile can roam free and multiply!!

It's their housemade silken tofu served with black sugar syrup.
http://www.gracenotesnyc.com/dinner/kyotofu/
It's so creamy and soft like a great custard, but much lighter. The syrup is the only sugar in it.
There's a flower shop in Flushing that makes fresh tofu served with ginger syrup (dohua) that's supposed to be excellent. I keep forgetting to check it out when I'm there.
I still want to try the silken tofu from EN Brasserie since it is described as being incredible and changing your perception of what tofu is or should be.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

I attended a wedding at Meadow Ridge Farm on Sunday.
Thanks. Things have been a little rough, but its really more my anxiety than anything else. I just need to get my mind to SHUT. THE. F. UP.
BTW, I didn't listen and I called my ex. I got a lot of closure. I should have stopped there, but I didn't and a couple old wounds opened back up. Hopefully I will get closure when I speak to him tonight.
The other stuff? My family and work has been driving me nuts. Haven't spoken to my sister in almost 2 weeks since she went crazy on me. Work, these *******s won't let me take a position in another department and are making my life h-e-dbl hockey sticks

i am having trouble eating lately.
this is a bad thing and i know that. but i'm so fat, that i feel like it's a good thing. and that's a bad thing...
i think it started when i found out my uncle is getting an honorary doctorate from the local university. this school tossed him out on his ear about 4 months before he finished his MA (his BA is from this school) because he was spending too much time on the business he started. the company is now the largest fitness club chain in Canada.
and THAT is the problem... i have a free lifetime membership to the club and i don't go. mainly because a membership card without an expiry date gets people questioning you. and then they find out that you're the boss' niece, and then they get weird. my uncle's employees hero-worship him.
so, the idea was that i would go to the ceremony as my nana's date. but my uncle only gets 2 tickets - one for nana and one for his wife.
however, Uncle Dave has decided to throw a party at a local winery that night for friends, family and all the staff at HQ. the whole hard-bodied lot of them.
just thinking about this makes me sick to my stomach and i can't eat...

Oh, my dear friend. I'm sorry --- I hope things get better for you soon.
You were ten minutes away. We could have rolled down the street on the scooter (and then pushed it back up the hill: fun!).
Did you wear a hat?

Interesting! I need to make a list of new places to visit in NYC next time I'm up that way. I always seem to end up going to the same restaurants.
