I need to have family game night more often. I'm usually reluctant to play but always happy I did.

And I played Uno for the first time in probably 25 years!

The West Virginia state sammich is in my tummy. Fried bologna, Wonder Bread, and Miracle Whip.

God, did that feel good.

I'm sorry, I mean no offense, but I think I may vomit.

Toby Keiths bar has a fried bologna sandwich on their menu. Much like you described. Must be so nostalgic for some, but even reading it makes me nauseous.

I would just like to say that I look really cute today. It's an interesting development. Let's see if it lasts.

I was wondering about cibc, too. I hope her first week at the new job went well and her mother and sister let her enjoy it.

No offense taken. As much as I love it, I can see where people would find it gross. One probably had to grow up with that to like it. I know lots if people hate Miracle Whip on its own, though I love the stuff.

I'm a fried bologna fan too !! I like mine on white bread with French's mustard and black pepper. I can only eat it sparingly now. I was over exposed to fried bologna and pinto beans as a child. The tragedy of it all!!

But I still can't get enough greens Collard, Mustard... Yum yum.

And corn bread. Lol. Forgive me. I am absolutely starving tonight.

Why am I upset at myself for not going out when I have a legitimate reason? My physics final is on Tuesday and I know I'm not ready, but all my friends are out celebrating their newly started summers and I'm sitting inside with my textbook, trying to end what has been a spectacularly terrible year.

I took 3 tests today and I made a 94, 78, and 96. You know what? I don't even feel bad about the 78. In fact, I'm rather proud of myself. I went back over the material I missed and I really, really studied it. Now I know the answers and understand the material better.

Hropkey, you'll be done soon enough and without a care.

Heh, no I'm not gonna be an obsessed shipper and insist they were flirting this scene, but oh look at the eyes! No wonder Asami glared when she saw them in the rear view mirror!

I waited on a famous actress tonight, and it was such a pleasure! She and her family were so kind and gracious. It was a great experience!

----------------------------

In other news, a local wedding planner has somehow managed to get someone to shoot a pilot of a reality tv show revolving around her and her business. The location of the pilot? The restaurant I work. No one is happy about this. She is a down-right maniac (it would make for good reality tv), but she is such a backstabbing, crap talking, creep that no one wants to be a part of this. When the owner said she wouldn't sign the waiver to allow her face to appear on tv, this woman freaked out and said "everything would be ruined" if even one more person declined to sign the waiver. To sign or not to sign?

Oh man, that sounds so good! Add some government cheese and that was lunch for most of my childhood.

Fried bologna is the best hangover cure imho.

Making a cartouche always brings me a certain amount of enjoyment.

Now I have to figure out what to do with the actual oranges. They're too sour to eat. I'm thinking I'll macerate them and make orange yogurt for breakfast, and I might try whole orange bars.

I bought heavy cream by mistake at whole foods yesterday. So I am going to make some pot de creme. Chocolate.

Nooo, caramel! Or maple! Or lemon!
Heh, I kid. My anti-chocolate bias is showing.

A cartouche is basically a parchment lid. Or a cake circle! Keeps stuff submerged when you're doing things like poaching where the fruit likes to bob above the surface. And it allows for evaporation so it doesn't get too hot underneath. It's just a bit of kitchen origami.
I'm candying orange peel for a few different things.
