You mean you don't normally keep rice in your house?

I got rice and almonds for horchata yesterday!! (or hochitas as Mr. Spring calls it) But guess who totally forgot to look for cinnamon sticks because I was fuming and wanting to punch someone?

I usually only have brown rice in the house.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Sorry for making your brain explode. B does not like rice so I get out of the habit of buying it to make just for me.

Just add a couple pinches of ground cinnamon. I do recommend getting Ceylon/Mexican cinnamon, though. It's the distinctive flavor of horchata. Still tastes good with cassia, but different flavor.

OK....I am going to do some work work. The 'system' is only alive until 8 pm and if I get some of these time consuming things done now without my normal work day interruptions I will be a happy camper!

'See' you all later

LOL!

Here's the link to the mint chocolate chip ice cream I used as a starting point:

Recipe: Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream | The Kitchn

I let the mint leaves steep for a full 3 hours. I also used 2 cups of half and half, and 2 cups of heavy cream instead of all half and half. We like to eat it right when it comes out of the ice cream maker. I prefer a soft-serve consistency.

Thanks!

I hate it when it gets hard in the freezer. I'm going to reduce all of my recipes in half so there's no left over. One of these days anyway...

I hope I'm just PMSing and not having a nervous breakdown...cuz that would not be helpful right now.
Make that 3 trips to Lowes, 3 fits of tears and about 4 temper tantrums....me yelling at the floor...cuz that helps

Luckily my friends stopped by with the baby for a beer and sanity break. Lord, do I love them.

I've seen something like that at Bed Bath & Beyond. I imagine they feel really good on your tootsies!

They feel awesome! Much better than regular mats.

I got 2 @ BB&B for 10bucks each because they had yellowish sun fading where they were folded. The only bad thing is they are white and get dirty so quickly. I have to remember to drape them over the tub after a shower.

I'm glad I'm not the only one yelling at inanimate objects. Usually I'm good at sloving problems, but I've never done anything like this before so I don't know what tools are avaliable. I'd be lost with out the webbernets.
