I hate when I get involved in work and do not stop at 7:30 and take my shower. Now it's 12:30 and still no shower. So I waste time in the middle of the day to do it and then having to eat at my desk. Yah working from has it is perks of being able to shower on your lunch but then I get the guilts about it so I 'skip' lunch.

I promise I will not show up unshowered saria.

How do I know if a cat is a stray? I've seen this one black and white cat in the same-ish spot in my neighborhood three times. He/she is relatively skittish, but that could be because I always have my two barky dogs with me. The cat doesn't seem skinny, or unhappy, but I never see him/her near a house. When he runs away from me and the dogs, he runs to a bush or a drainage area, not to a house.

Should I do something? I feel like, if I call animal control, they'll just try to trap him and he may end up in an overly full shelter. At least, even if he is stray, he's enjoying himself in my little neighborhood. I'm conflicted. :/

See if you can approach it sans dogs and with some yummy, stinky treats, to get a better idea of its temperament.

Even if it is a stray and happy, it would still be good if it were fixed. You could see if there is a Trap Neuter Return [TNR] program in your area. Or, alternatively, contact a cat rescue to see if they can help trap/neuter/vaccinate/rehab the cat and adopt it out to a family.

I agree, you should avoid contacting animal control, unless your local animal control is a progressive one with a no-kill policy.
