jeep, it's any berry with seeds. My teeth are super sensitive and I get bad pain when I bite into them. For a long time I avoided strawberries even though the seeds are teensy, but I can eat those now if they're small. I do love blueberries though so thank mercy those don't have seeds! I'd die.

One of my neighbor's has a sign up in their garden that says "Certified Wildlife Habitat." I looked it up and apparently you can the certification with a pretty simple garden set up. I'm not big on gardening (love the look, but not the work), but I do like the idea of planting local species and such that support animal life. When we do our backyard, I'm totally getting it certified. Aaand it gives me an excuse to pick out plants that I like and not let DH have his way with the whole thing. Heee!

But I'm really considering "disappearing". I move in Sept. So I'm thinking of telling everyone except my dad and my sister I'm moving out of state. I'll still be in dc, but they wont know that.

Its just so frustrating that these people, (I cant even call them family right now), have the audacity to ask me for money. 1. cousin text me for rent money. every month she needs rent money. how is this even possible? i can see being short once a month, but 5 months in a row?!?!?! This is the same cousin who went to Jamaica, comes back and a week later was evicted. Why? because instead of paying rent for the pass few months she decided to spend it on a vacation "because she needed one" yeah and your kids dont need a roof over there heads. then her mom co-signed for her in a place she could easily afford. but then her sister (who is more responsible and makes more money) decides to move to a more expensive place. My dear sweet cousin breaks her lease to follow sis, now her mom is being sued by the apartments adn she cant make rent. 2. within the hour my uncle calls to tell me the family is trying to get together $5000 for a downpayment for a lawyer so my cousin can repeal his conviction (he's guilty by the way, but the life sentence +20 was a little harsh). I truly wanted to cry. Mainly because, while I was in college no one offered to help me. After I lossed everything due to Hurricane Katrina, and they knew this, no one said, "lets send her a gift card to walmart, a bar of soap, a pack of underwear, a toothbrush, anything!!" I got nothing! When my parents fell on hard times and was evicted no one offered any help! Every last one of my mom's relatives have lived with us! everyone!!! you know on the cosby show how rudy never got her own room cause someone was always moving in? that was me! For a period of time I moved out! I was 14!! but as long as they have somewhere to go its all good. no thank you no nothing!

When i graduated my roommate's aunt and uncle bought my a real pearl branclet. When my mom saw it I could tell she was hurt, because her family didnt even get me a card. another cousin graduated from high school the saem year and one of my aunts give him a card with money in it. my mom assumed she would do the same for me and my sister who also graduated from high school the same year. we got nothing!

I'm done!!

thelio, some of us win the family lottery, and some of us don't. Most people are somewhere in the middle. I'm at the extreme end, somewhat like you.

We all have to find peace with what we can realistically manage emotionally. If you feel you will be happier without the constant demands, and can withstand the possible loneliness that may result, walk away. It won't be easy, but it may help free you to fill your life with people who can give and take, instead of just take.

I agree with this.

I've reduced my family ties to only my parents, and they both live far away.

I'm learning more and more to just be with myself. Its easier for me this way.

2 of my houses have been certified. It's fun. Do it! : )

I majorly miscalculated how long my assignment was going to take. I thought that i was far enough along that I could finish it today if I put in some overtime. I was really wrong. 6 hours later, I only got a 3rd of it shaded. I'm going to have to put in a few more days like this to get it done on time now.

My grandmother has favourites. I don't think she likes my aunt very much.

Today I went to pizza hut and brought home lasgana. Instead of eating it, I gave it my grandmom who happens to be sitting with my aunt. So I say to her, "if my aunt wants some you should share." Her response was, "oh, we should leave some for your mom, she likes these kinds of things." I walked off. My aunt is here, right now. You still down and mumble about how much she struggles to make ends meet and yet your refuse to share the food?

This is another reason I don't want to have kids. My mother and grandmother were verbally abusive when I was a child, and I refuse to pass on any of those nasty habits to my child/ren.

We live a few miles from a military base. Sometime planes or helicopters fly over our house. A moment ago, a plane flew by so low that we ran outside to see. We missed it, though I don't know how. It was so loud, the dog was barking at it.

Saria do you like to walk? It's about 1 1/2 miles from where we are meeting to get to the North End (the jean store I told you about is there and there are some other cool stores). We could take the T but it ends probably being the same amount of time and multiple train changes.
