CL, it's just the newsletter for the military.com website. I'm registered there and they send a newsletter email about different random stuff military related.

This was the free thing I was talking about: Military.com Deals - Search Results for Store "Blue Star Museums"

Thanks! I just joined! Are you there under your full (real) name? I saw something somewhere about "friends".

My username is the same as it is here, but I have my real full name on my account as well so I'm not sure which one would allow you to find me. I had to look at my account to see if my real name was there or not!

Between a thunderstorm earlier today, and fireworks tonight... My dog was one big ball of nerves today!

He was so freaked out he wouldn't even get on my bed. He was curled up in a pitiful little ball (and he's not a small dog!) on the floor next to it, instead!

I haven't been subscribed to military.com for ages. Maybe I should. Are there deals for dependent IDs? Sometimes they are only for active members and seeing as how I'm only a dependent it doesn't help. Trying to explain that my sponsor is deceased doesn't always work

jess, surely there are deals for dependent ID's as well. If it's something like the one I linked too most of the time you could call ahead to see.

Well, I'm thinking it's a good day for a six mile walk.

As for the food, let me go through this is order.

-Salmon and tuna tartare with avocado cream.

-Barbecue chicken potstickers

-Beer-battered halibut chops

-Braised sweet soy lamb chops (really good even for someone who doesn't love lamb like me)

-Smoked and grilled "Buffalo" chicken lollipops

-Clams with merguez, tomatoes, and pea greens

-Potato gnocchi with sweet corn, mushrooms, and ham hocks (really great tender gnocchi)

-Octopus salad with olives, fingerling potatoes, preserved lemon, and watercress (love octopus, and this was so good)

-Watermelon gazpacho with basil oil

-And the s'mores in a crock, which was really tasty

I'm so glad I got to meet up with xcptnl! She's super cute and sweet.
We went to a jeans store and if I should ever come into boatloads of money, I'll buy her all the colored jeans she'd like.

Oh, the lamb was awesome! I did not try the octopus. I know I should have but not a huge fan. The halibut was yummy too. The s'more in a crock was TASTY.

And we went by a bakery/cupcake store-I so should have bought one and took a pic of Saria chowing it down

I am still full.

I head back into Boston this afternoon to pick up B!! Trying to decide if I should go in early and do some window shopping or not....

Dear BFF who believes in the "Laws of Attraction" malarkey,

Not helpful.

Love,
My nickname with you.

misspam, I just started the 30 day shred again...but I'm eating dirty.

(I've had WAY too much coffee today y'all so I apologize now for excess exclamation points and useless rambling...)
(wait, is this any different than when I haven't had too much coffee??)
(never mind, don't answer that)
Ditto!

Spring, see my post on the fitness forum, the Beachbody thread. I'm feeling like a fat cow and could use some encouragement. We can suffer, er I mean support one another and curse Jillian Michaels between push-ups!
Count me in.

I'm going to try the workout without the diet.

If I last a week, I'll be amazed.
The more the merrier!

I started a 30 Day Shred support thread on the fitness forum:

I'm a pretty adventurous eater, but even I would have had a hard time with octopus - me no likey!

A cupcake pic would have been too cute.

It is weird. I love mussels, steamers, fried clams but I am not a fan of calamari or octopus.

I thought I was the only person in the world who didn't love this show. I didn't watch past the first night. I love Kevin Costner and I love the whole story but didn't like the show at all.
