I want some cake. And a shopping spree. And some good sex. I'm so bummed out I drove around Houston for 5 hours and made it halfway to Galveston before I turned back, wasted $50 in gas, ate at McCrapper, and I've been in bed sipping on this nasty ass Bud Light ever since. I feel like bleh.

and in other news...

i had another bad night with the spider bite so i finally broke down and called the doctor's office and called in sick. but i couldn't get an appointment until 3:30. and then waited until 4:00 to spend all of 5 minutes with the doctor. since the rash hasn't spread and the fever hasn't been around since Saturday, he recommended some strong cortisone cream and told me to take double doses of Benadryl.

*sigh*

this is why i didn't go to see him earlier. i hate to bother them when it's really nothing.

he faxed the prescription for the cortisone from his computer to my pharmacy. an hour later i went in there and they told me they didn't have it (i went to get my nails done while i waited for them to prepare the stuff). when i got there, they said they had nothing for me and no record of a 'scrip from my doc.

and when i got home, i had a voice mail from the pharmacy telling me that my 'scrip was ready for pick up. they had called me 45 minutes BEFORE i went in person to get it!



the 5% cortisone cream i have here at home hasn't done a thing for this stupid rash!!!

Scrub-cleaned the carpets, vacuumed, changed the sheets on the beds, scooped a litter box, cleaned toilets in both bathrooms, cleaned my dishwasher, did a sink full of dishes, 2 loads of laundry, took the kids outside to play, and made dinner.

I am proud of my accomplishments today.

Answer: NO!

Aaarrrgh...So...I finally got a FT job. Yay, me! Two months in, the Dir. of Mktg approached me about a possible internal transfer (mo' money, mo' money!). I interviewed and HR then emailed me a test on Friday. The deadline was, "Oh, Monday or Tuesday." OK, cool. But I never received the email. I followed up and HR informed me they sent the test to my personal (not work) email address!! Ack! I didn't see the email until 7:30 pm tonight. But the email said to complete and return the test by 6pm tonight! Leave it to TNB to miss my very first deadline before I even have the job!! Only me...
