I would. Even if it were only two things, I'd have to mumble them to myself in order to remember.

I get sidetracked easily while in grocery stores.

I'm now trying to figure out why black eyed peas were in so many different spots (three!) on the canned veggies aisle. I guess I should just be glad they actually had any since I haven't been able to find them at other stores.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
For Springy and Claudine!! This Sesame Street cartoon has played in my mind, countless times, since the 70's.

When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

As a small child I totally thought she was saying " A loaf of bread, potato milk, and a stick of butter."

And I thought that potato milk sounded like just about the worst thing, ever.

The next thing I know I'm thinking, what the hell did I come here for?

Hey look, almost 24 hours later, the Curltalk app is working again!
Oh my word, Fifi!!! That made me feel so ooooooold! I love how she struts to the store, I may try that next time I go to the grocery. Goodness, I had forgotten all about that.

LMAO @ potato milk!!

I have a strong feeling this will be on repeat in my head next time I grocery shop.

It figures that when I'm finally able to make posole, it's going to be 90+ temps.
Oh well, pounds of pork are cooking at so low a simmer that only occasionally does a bubble pop up, and hominy is soaking for it for tomorrow. Think I'll wait till Saturday to eat it since it'll get better and I can take it over to my brother's place along with all the garnishes.
I rekindled my love affair of hominy when I put it in soup the other night. It had been so long since I had any and it was always hard to find in CT, but here it's in every store I shop at.

Le sigh.
"Jesus, in all honesty, you're so thin it's sad!"
"Fine, stay skinny like that." Because you know, I'm actively starving myself to be thin.
No hominy in CT? That's disgraceful!! It is great in soups.

I'm sure they sold it somewhere, just not in my local grocery. Disgraceful, indeed! lol

Thank you, Fifi!

I love their voices.

I also love hominy.

Hommmmmmm-iny. Hominy. HOMINY!

You're welcome, Claudine. It obviously was a great memory exercise. 30+ years later and people are still trying to help her remember what mama said. Lol
