The monthly visit with a co-worker's new baby is going on. It's so annoying to have to coo and speak in baby talk to a kid that you care little about.

I'm not too picky when it comes to beaches... A beach is a beach, to me! I love them all. But, I've also never been to a Caribbean beach, so that could have something to do with it.

Then again, I'm that weirdo who swims in the Allegheny river, which grosses most people out! Don't knock it 'til you try it!

After having been to much of the Carribbean, I have to say that I prefer their beaches to the ones in the Northeast. Not necessarily for their scenery, but their water is beautiful and is way cleaner. You can see through to the bottom of the beaches there. You can't do that in the beaches in NY.

Well, great.

I just found out today that I could have pretended to have a kid, and dropped off a Teddy Bear at the library, where Mr. Bear might have attended camp and had his adventures described at a party on the 27th.

I'm sure someone would have lent me a kid for the actual party. Why do I always miss these things?

When you grow up going to Playa Grande and to El Caletón de Dario, that's kind of what you think a beach looks like, so even when you know it's not the case here, it's still a tiny bit disappointing each time.

And on the subject of these beaches, I'm glad to read that Cabrera still remains mostly unspoiled by tourism. If anyone were to ask me where to go in the DR, I'd say Cabrera. It's just a beautiful, relaxed area of the Dominican Republic, unlike Punta Cana and other overpriced tourist traps, which while nice, exist mostly to separate people from their money.
Yep Punta Cana took some of our $. But that is OK

I don't really eat raw cookie dough, and when I do eat a few bites it often tends to be dough with no eggs in it anyway, but seeing the obsession people generally have with it, I'd say this is on the money:

*I don't like cookie dough ice cream, btw.

i have to visit clients tomorrow which I normally love to do. But I am not looking forward to the dress up part - nylons, heels, dress - in this heat. Ugh.

I think Gen Hair might have what you're looking for.
As for Netflix, I've found two or three movies out of some 20 I've searched for. Netflix has terrible movie selection. But there are a lot of great shows on it!

Yes after they lose a lot of contracts the selection went down the drains.

Is Saria using fowl language and cursing like a sailor again? tsk tsk. : )

I love raw cookie dough - chocolate chip especially. But the fake cookie dough stuff they put in ice cream is too sweet and not the same.

Yeah we canceled our netflix because we wanted it for new release movies. Redbox works better for us.

I have no idea what Redbox is, but it sounds kinda dirty.
I'm okay with Netflix since I wanted it mostly for TV shows and don't care much about movies, but it is annoying how poor their selection is whenever I think of a movie that sounds good/interesting. It doesn't matter if it's an old or new movie, they just don't have them usually.
Netflix also screwed up by only having up to episode 37 of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, though. I was all panicked about what I was going to do if I didn't finish such a great story. Thankfully Funimation has the episodes on YouTube, albeit subbed. :/

I miss San Fran. The tickets for 'mas are so damn expensive though. I don't know why I didn't make up my mind earlier. Now it's too pricey.
