Jess, I'm SO sorry. You're going through so much right now. {{{Jess}}}. I hope for better times for you, sweetie.

CIBC, I feel for you. A critical boss is the worst. Everyone makes mistakes!!!!! including her. I've made a lot of stupid mistakes. Really, dumb, stupid mistakes sometimes the same mistake twice. If worse really does come to worse, you will get another job. Truly.

Jess and CIBC - hang in there.

Just read your post, Jess. I'm SO sorry. My dog was 16 when she was put down. I knew she lived a long, happy doggy life but it's still so hard.

sounds like a plan, scrills!

it would get here faster that way!!! just take the ferry across Lake Erie to Leamington, go straight up Highway 77 to the 401 and go east for 1 hour!

Thanks...the thing is...my main boss?! He's awesome! He texted me after an insanely hectic week on Friday to thank me for all my good and hard work. I think he likes me. I really like everybody and feel good energy from them.

Everybody is telling me that I'm starting at the worst possible time and that it's crazy and truly "baptism by fire." I feel like, all things considered, I'm doing my best. I'm honestly running around LIKE A MANIAC. I've worked from 7 am to 7 pm pretty much the past five days.

This other girl just harps on anything I do wrong. She corrected a name I had put on a nametag. I doublechecked and told her,"Actually, it WAS right." She was wrong! But all she does is nitpick.

One coworker I hit it off with quit last week. I talked to her yesterday and she said,"I should have warned you. She is VERY VERY VERY hard on new people. She freaked me out so much in the beginning."

I'm just so stressed. (And tired!) I'm really doing my best. What do they expect for six weeks?!?!?

((((Jess)))) I'm so sorry, it's so hard to say goodbye. I'm sure she knows how much you love her.

(((CIBC))) I agree that if you were going to be fired, the boss would just do it so she wouldn't have to pay you. Don't let your mom's drama bring you down. Go into that meeting ready to hear what the boss says, and ask questions on how to improve, etc. She'll know you are a dedicated employee who is ready to do what is needed to get the job done, and who uses mistakes as an opportunity to learn.

I'm so sorry about your dog, Jess. That just made my heart clench up in sadness.

CIBC, hope the meeting goes well. And please quit sharing things like that with your mother. You know she does not have your back and will not give you positive reinforcement so there's no reason to tell her.

(Yes, curlypearl, I'm going to the doctor on Monday, although I could have sworn it went away a few weeks ago ((apparently this kind of thing comes back).
Go to the doctor even if it goes completely away. I'm glad you have recognized me for the nag that I am.

She heard me...the day turned stunningly gorgeous earlier this afternoon; the wind died down, the clouds retreated, and the temperature topped out at around 72--probably about 68 now. Perfection. I'm sure we're gonna pay for it in the coming days.

I hope everyone else gets a respite from the oppressive heat.

I love that everyone is sending me blind dates!

The next one in line called me but I missed it because I had my phone on silent still from work. It's borderline too late and I'm making dinner so I will call him tomorrow after work/dinner and some liquid courage.

Plus I have the hiccups now.

I'm a wuss.

Tomorrow I won't be as wussy,

Promise.

Unless I still have the hiccups.

I was wondering about that. I thought I might watch a play back late at work tonight, but I won't bother. I'll trust your crafty opinion Scrills.

"No officer, I didn't try to run my wife over with a car." Grrrrrr! What is wrong with people?

Rou, I saw saw your previous post. Please don't let rude and ignorant remarks get to you. You need to eat. Starving yourself is horrible for your health, in so many ways. It's not even worth it.

One of my friends took a pic of the Game of Thrones cast tonight (few of them signing autographs) and tagged me in it on FB. She does not watch the show but knows that I love it. How sweet and cool is that?

I roasted poblano peppers tonight and they made the kitchen smell like I was smoking a joint.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

That roast is zesty tangy goodness. Shame I didn't get a buzz from the pepper.
