Thanks everyone for the hugs. I'm glad she isn't in pain anymore but my living room seems very empty without her.

Rou, I saw saw your previous post. Please don't let rude and ignorant remarks get to you. You need to eat. Starving yourself is horrible for your health, in so many ways. It's not even worth it.

One of my friends took a pic of the Game of Thrones cast tonight (few of them signing autographs) and tagged me in it on FB. She does not watch the show but knows that I love it. How sweet and cool is that?

Boner.

SO had to go to bed early and I'm not tired at all so I crawled into bed with Ivy and we're watching dirty jobs. Snuggles with my daughter are definitely making me feel better.

Oy! I feel like I'm digesting an orange, as in when I press on my lower right belly region it feels like there is one under my hand. Heating pad and relaxation music to the rescue!

How ill does a kidney infection make you?

Yeah I was afraid someone would say that. Supposed to be going away for mini weekend for a friends wedding and the friend going with just text me to say, she's got a kidney infection

i really shouldn't do this to myself, but every time i read a thread on PoF where they start fat-bashing, i don't eat... i know i need to put food into my stomach, but after reading idiocy like this:

There is no reason for a healthy female to weigh more at 50 than she did at 25.

i just beat up on myself something awful.

if i starved myself like this all the time and stopped drinking wine (and martinis on Saturday afternoons!), i probably could weigh the same thing i did at 25.

if only i could remember what that was....

even when i was 25, i thought i was grossly fat.

i despise myself for being fat, but my endocrinologist keeps trying to tell me that this is probably my weight for the rest of my life. however, unless i lose weight, i'm doomed to be single - middle-aged men are so damn critical when it comes to women's bodies...

First of all... are these guys saying this buff and perfectly toned themselves? If they are 50, do they look as good as when they were 25? If not, why are they holding women to standards they themselves can't meet?

Secondly... sure, SOME women may be skinny at 25 and skinny at 50. Some have genes that allow this naturally, but MOST have to work darn hard and half starve themselves for that. You wouldn't really want to give up wine and martinis to MAYBE get a decent man - what kind of life is that???? The rest of the 50-y-o women have pretty good reasons for not looking 25 - hormones, for one, which men don't deal with in the same way. It's pretty ignorant not to acknowledge that women store fat differently than men do and that this changes with age. You have a medical condition so you need to be gentle with yourself and your health and listen to your doctor, not fools on the internet.

Thirdly... you wouldn't really want to be in a relationship with a person that shallow and ignorant anyway, would you? Being single unless and until a quality person comes your way is a good thing, not something you're "doomed" to. My daddy always told me "mejor soltera que mal acompanada", which means "better to be alone than in bad company", and that is so true.

Hope you feel better soon!
