Where did this monstrous, shiny, zit growing out of the CENTER of my chin come from?

Seriously, it wasn't there this morning. Or even earlier this afternoon. I get out of the tub and its throbbing like "Feed me Seymour!!"

The amount of time from slipping on the peel and landing on the pavement is exactly one bananosecond.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who looks for the shadier side of the street.

Being a runner has taught me to love the shade too. Keep cooler, keep that heart rate lower.

I like the beach when there is a nice breeze, but I don't last much more than an hour or so.
Spring, yes, you add everything after it cooks. Nope, half a lime is good and I'd probably do a whole lime because I like generous amounts of herbs and garnish.
And sure, go ahead and toast it for a little pilaf action.
(I use equal parts rice to liquid when I cook rice, but with such a small amount, the liquid is fine here.)

Seriously, this guy is brilliant, hilarious, sensitive, creative, handsome, straight and really really GETS me and there's nobody else I trust more in this world.

Gosh, my life would be easier if we were romantically inclined...
My ex visited me over the weekend and I think I learnt two things from the visit.

1. He's not that great of a catch. He is smart and he has a lot of ambition, so I'm sure he will achieve something in life; but he's too focused on being rich. To me, there are much more important things in life than money, and those are the things I would prefer to spend my time chasing. His selfish behaviour (about one particular thing) turned me off. I made burgers,, cut up the tomatoes etc, laid out all the condiments and told him to put it together himself because I don't know what he wants on his burger. He said everything but I still insisted that he put it together himself. I mean, I seasoned and made the damn thing, cut up all the fixings..... He had a damn tantrum and refused to speak to me the entire night. Even told me that he was leaving the next day. We spoke about it last night and he said that I could never come to his house, ask for something and he put it on the table and told me to make it myself. He does have a point because he was always hospitable whenever I would visit.

2. I am ready for a serious relationship that is going somewhere, or at least have the potential to be more than just dating for the sake of dating.
I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

I thought it was a zit, but no, it's definitely a mosquito bite. On my cheek. That's gonna take forever to heal.

Imagine how he'd act over something that is actually IMPORTANT to him. You could end up abused or dead. Adults need to control their tempers and their actions. Seriously.

Saria: I agree. I could not believe someone could get so worked up over a damn burger.

Other than that, I'm still here, and check the forum at least once a day

Few threads strike my fancy nowadays so I don't post as much.

On a related and highly productive note, I officially registered for Semester 1 of grad school.....my life, will officially be on pause for the next two years starting the day after my b-day. Fingers crossed.

Also, for the last week I keep thinking about where I was last year this time and everything that happened from the 29th of July onwards. Oh how the tides have changed.
