I haven't felt this great about my body in a long time.

I never got around to posting pics of these cakes thanks to app fail, but I decided to upload them because these cakes are THE BUSINESS! Ugh, they're so over-the-top delicious that looking at them is making me wish I could be in my kitchen and able to bake again. I want a slice of either of these so badly!
Pistachio Nutmeg Cake with Honey and Rosewater Glaze:
This cake has three layers: a buttery crust, then the cake portion, and then the crunchy pistachio layer. It is so incredibly tender and moist (it uses the one-bowl method, which explains it)! I really couldn't stop eating this one! In fact, I regretted giving such a large piece to my brother to take home since it got even better the next day.
And moving on, look at this gorgeous golden color and crumb:
This is a macadamia bundt cake with lime and rum syrup. Another incredibly tender cake thanks to containing more ground macadamias than flour, plus all the butter. The syrup is super-tangy and the cake of course stays moist and delicious for days. Seriously, this cake is obscenely good.
And here was that unmolded flan from back then. Again, no custard fail holes on the sides, as it should be!
I'm probably going to stop by Chinatown today and get myself a dan tat aka Portuguese custard tart. My custard cravings never go away!

Why is it a false equivalence?

Because trying to compare a fast food sandwich to fuel is a false equivalence.

Because one is easy to avoid and the other is very difficult or impossible to find a substitute for? I'm not being snarky here, I'm just trying to understand.
I've seen that floating around too (or this one, which I prefer because Willie Wonka is just funny):
To me, the point wasn't whether the products are easy or difficult to avoid consuming, it's that we ignore or overlook much more serious human rights offenses all the time.

So what if the gorgeous Lolo Jones is a virgin and admitted it? Why is that such a bad thing? If that's what seems right to her, why on earth should other people care?
Also, is the man who shot his wife in the ER Amish?

Yeah, but to me it misses the point in an effort to deride people for feeling as they do and acting on it. People may not be able to feasibly give up gasoline, but they can make a stand against Chick-fil-a. It may not make a huge difference, but it's one way at least to take control of what you support or don't.

Also, is all gas in the US derived from oil from Saudi Arabia or another place that believes the same? And how would a consumer be able to tell where their gas is from?
Also, gas is a necessity while fast food from that particular place is not.
And the sandwich place has gone out of its way to make its views on that issue known and garner support on that basis. Haven't heard that the Saudi Arabian oil industry has.
And finally, the sandwich place is a domestic business. There's a big difference in expressing displeasure with something at home and involving oneself in foreign affairs by trying to influence what other countries think and do.

Rou my love, here you go:
http://m.notquitenigella.com/2012/04...rs-april-2012/
Made with 100 g less sugar, because 300 g of sugar is obscene to me. And 1/4 tsp kosher salt. No rose petals, as you can see, but generous rose water to taste in the glaze.
The first day it's delicious, though it almost seems not sweet enough. The second day it's perfection, as is the case with spice cakes like this one.
I used the higher amount of freshly grated nutmeg.
I had an egg fancy from Mike & Patty (sans bacon, horrify some of you as it might) and I'm hooked. I want another!

I may have mentioned them but I avoided the topic seeing as how this guy is always complaining that I have too much male energy.

that is guy-speak for:
I don't know how to use power tools and I'm intimidated by the fact that you do, so I will accuse you of being too masculine in order to justify my rejecting you.

She still failed, but I think homegirl was saying to convert in case you get shot at, not to prevent it.

Scrills is one of the most feminine women I know. Remember when she posted that pic of herself in the leopard skirt?
Do not give this guy a chance, Scrills. He's a moron.
