Has anyone had funky side effects after eating a lot of pasta? Not a lot in one go but say every day for about 4 days.

I've been eating pasta salad each lunch time at work and then later in the day have some really odd bms. Not diarrhoea but not normal.

who needs to read *that* book series when you've got 50 Sheds on Twitter:

'Mmmm . . I just love it when you're inside me.' I smiled proudly until I remembered what my therapist told me about talking sheds.

Alright, let's do this rant good and proper.

I'm currently working sauté and I am just baffled. It's a constant and pained "why" that goes through my head.

Let's take the risotto, which I've already expressed to my friend really needs to be removed from the menu forever. I just can't with this rice porridge ********. It is most definitely not risotto. Might as well call it congee or juk before you call it that. I've since made it and I could have cried at seeing and serving intact grains of rice again. I realized part of the reason for this mushy merde is that they make like four boxes of rice at a time. I think two is the limit and I'm pushing it with the three I'm currently making. Rondeau is too small to handle any more than that!
Then they also pick up a certain amount to keep around for service in case it gets busy. Risotto should be cooked to order! Starting a batch for orders later equals serving up rice slop!

The grill does orders of grilled chicken for salads and any orders of "add chicken". They grill the breasts ahead of time and keep them in a bain all night. CHICKEN BREASTS IN A BAIN, PEOPLE! They literally shred when you go to slice them they're so dry!
Speaking of, they overcook simple chicken skewers. The albumin can be seen seeping out as they continue to cook them.

But really the worst offense is the lack of understanding of cooking and of sauté. They basically want to heat and serve everything and, no, just no.
I'm still baffled and often so very tempted to ask what the hell they're doing and why when they get a crab cakes order for room service. They throw them on the griddle and give them color on one side, sometimes two, then hit them with nonstick and throw them on a sizzle plate and into the oven.
First of all: NONSTICK SPRAY IS FOR COOKING SURFACES, NOT FOR THE ACTUAL FOOD! That **** never sees the light of day when I'm working there, yet I always find it on the counter when I get in.
But second of all: WATER YOU DOING THIS IS ****ING 101 ******** FUNDAMENTALS OF SAUTE CREATE A MOTHER****ING CRUST ON THE FOOD, FOOL!
I'm sure they think I'm an odd one dusting the cakes with Wondra and letting them get nice and crusty and golden brown on the griddle. They never make it into the oven because they really don't need to! They heat up fine if you actually SAUTE THEM! That's how a crab cake should be! It should have a nice crunchy crust that gives way to a moist tender center. Nobody wants a ****ing soggy crab cake!

Which brings us to the lentil burger, also for room service! People, it's basically pureed lentils. You know what the consistency of that is! Again, what is one of the basic goals of sauté? CRUST! TEXTURE! They take that **** and they either spray it with nonstick and just chuck it into the oven on a sizzle plate, or if lucky, they quickly brown it on one side and into the oven. ****ING BABY FOOD.
Again, some Wondra creates a nice crackly crust and the thing never has to go into the oven, EVER!

The scallops might be one of the most baffling things yet. They throw them on the griddle, brown on one side, then put them under the salamander. WTF NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This doesn't make any sense! WTF!!!!!!! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO SCALLOPS? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY?!!!!!
SAUTE THEM! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SAUTE THE ****ING SCALLOPS!
There is no logic behind throwing them under a salamander. USE THE SAUTE PANS YOU HAVE A LOT OF THEM!!!!

There was also the day there was a rare salmon ordered. Rare salmon is the easiest ****ing thing ever! You just sear on both sides and voila, it's done! So what the hell is the thought process behind searing on one side then chucking it under the salamander? Seriously, think about it! A salamander's main purpose is to melt cheese, and brulee things, or brown certain breads. Protein will dry out and get all leathery before it gets anywhere near brown. YOU SHOULD NOT BE COOKING THINGS THAT ARE MEANT TO BE SAUTED UNDER THE SALAMANDER.

They also cook the salmon by browing on the griddle on one side and then the ****ing nonstick spray and into the oven. It always comes out with all the albumin seeping out of it and looks terrible. Salmon is quick-cooking, it does not need to go into the oven if you just let it sauté. Unless the salmon is well done, there shouldn't be albumin seeping out of it like that. Saute it and show it some love with a little basting, FFS! Admittedly I mostly don't have time to cook all my salmon orders in a pan as I would really like due to the way this place works, but I still let them cook on the griddle and baste them. There is no reason to be throwing salmon in the oven!

One of those great days when all my regular 'stuff' is done. Bathrooms are recently cleaned, laundry is caught up, kitchen fully cleaned up after dinner, sheets were changed on the bed, its vacuumed, swept. I'm sitting. Without a pile of laundry in front of me, even.

I suppose that means I should be washing the floor, but I really avoid that.

I still crack up at CL's app posting fail.
I've recently realized one of my brothers is abusive towards his girlfriends, my mother, and towards me. All in different ways but it's still abuse. At the same time, he is my brother and I worry a lot about him. Someone once said to me about a family member of theirs that passed away, "he didn't commit suicide but I felt like he was killing himself slowly". And that really struck me and has stayed with me since then. It's how I feel about my brother and my father.

My father has recently started doing cocaine again. But he has not told me this. My brother told me because my father still thinks I'm a little girl and can't hear these things. I haven't seen my father in maybe 3 years. I feel guilty about it but whenever I see him I feel awful.

What's really annoying is my brother yells at me for not visiting our father, yet he doesn't visit him either. My brother puts a lot of responsibility on me. Because I'm a woman, to him that means I am a caretaker and must do things for him. When he was in jail recently I did so much for him. It was emotionally draining. I took my time and energy to do things for him because I love him. And when he was released there was no thank you or appreciation. I know he still had his **** to deal with but it would have been nice.

So, basically in my family I'm treated as both a child and as a caretaker. It's a lot.

I'm imaging iroc's reaction to seeing my house and I'm giggling. I keep everything clean but messy. Books scattered everywhere, and I can't remember the last time I didn't have at least 3 items of clothing lying around. I'm allergic to putting all my clean laundry away.
