I wanted to eat it for breakfast so bad, but I resisted.

I used all peaches and added cinnamon to the batter. I cut back the sugar and could have cut back even more, the amount called for seems a bit excessive.

That recipe for the peach pudding cake sounds awesome - thank you!! You're right though, that does sound like an awful lot of sugar. Hopefully I'll be able to find some good peaches when I go shopping this afternoon.

^Holy sugar! The peaches themselves that sugar could get cut at least to 1/4 cup instead of 1 cup considering the already sweet topping. I sometimes wonder how sweet is "too sweet" for some people when they insist something isn't too sweet (ahem, ****ing crack pie, which is a sugar pie, yet people swear it's not too sweet; or recipes for baked oatmeal calling for upwards of a cup of sugar, which, I don't want oatmeal that sweet, thanks).

And here I was thinking *maybe* a tablespoon or two of sugar would suffice.

And one more, for the heck of it. This is a shortened, and animated, version of the call. I much preferred the full version, funny or die, parody.

Depends on your peaches. I tend to just sprinkle sugar and taste, so I do start with a tablespoon or so, but I think 1/4 cup is as high as I'd go for what is a fairly small amount of peaches.

My peaches were so sweet and juicy, I should have bought more. I want it with blueberries next time because I love them so much.

Trying hard to resist eating it for lunch.

You might be able to turn on closed captioning, I do all the time if I can't understand something on TV. A lot of times they're pretty much whispering so I have to turn it on.

Cleaning up spilled bubbles definitely counts as 'washing' the floor.

I down!

I always find it humorous when someone insists that they have a favorite carrot cake that is the best and so on. Carrot cakes recipes are pretty much exactly the same. Yeah, the sugar amounts can vary a little, and the spices used, the mix-ins, but really, they are such minor variations and all carrot cakes taste pretty much the same and are moist thanks to the oil, sugar, and carrots.

i LOVE copper vessel sinks and wouldn't mind getting one to re-do my main floor bathroom.

the problem? it's a narrow room and the sinks i find on-line all tend to be 16 inches wide.

would it be too crazy to buy a copper bowl in the right size and cut a hole in the centre????

(this is how my mind works!)

Had to be in the area of the hospital where I had my first brain tumor surgery. Nightmarish seeing that area again. Just wanted to reach out. Feeling lonely and "unreal" like I'm dreaming.

I think I got a great haircut but not sure yet - but that's for another part of this website! Meanwhile, I have to find a way to stop this anxiety attack. Maybe go down and walk.

Sending a warm hello to everyone - glad I am on this website so I can admit it when I feel lonely and anxious, and I know I won't be judged or leaning on my friends/family too much.

I am a blueberry snob (I only like the wild blueberries-much smaller and so much more flavor than the cultivated marbles they call blueberries) so I am thinking I will try this recipe after I can score some Maine blueberries on vacation!!
