Say It. I Dare You.

Things are looking up on the Buddy front. The family saw me park the car tonight, and the guy came out. I met his wife, and she wanted to know about Buddy, or Jer-Bear, as she calls him. I talked about him, showed her pics and videos I had on my phone, talked about the vet trip and the chip issue.

A six year old granddaughter was also at the house. She lives there full time. She was a little upset and told me that I have to give the cat back. The wife/grandma said that I couldn't give him back now. The wife was happy to see that he looked pretty happy and healthy in pics. The stories of what he did and how he acted with them mesh pretty well with how he acts with me.

The little girl wants to see him, and I agreed since I'm a sucker for six year olds begging to see her lost cat. But, I'm glad the wife told her that he couldn't come back.

Why the tried to move a 16 lb cat with just a box is nuts. Had they used a carrier, he might not have escaped in the first place.

I hope it stays at that.

Oh good. I was worried thinking about how horrible it would be if things worked out differently. Hopefully it stays that way.

I hope so, too. Although you could see the wife missed her cat, she seemed to recognize that I've taken care of him and tried to find an owner instead of just cat-napping.

I'd say hipsters only say they don't place a huge value on money.

I was trying to find out about ferries between the islands. There are apparently some, but it is mind-boggling that this sort of information isn't more readily available. I mean, if you can't fly from one island to another, there should really be an easy way to sail!

Apparently it's now cool to label EVERYONE a hipster as long as they don't conform to your ideas on how to act in a capitalist culture. I did not just type that.

I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

Have you considered a gluten-free lifestyle recently just because? Your hipster quotient hinges on the answer to this.
Hangs head in shame. My heart did a little happy dance when I discovered that Yoplait light is gluten free.

Please, please, take my hipster cards. I want hang up my Converse high tops and resign from this bohemian trap to which I have resigned myself.........I need an intervention!

^All digital scales have a tare feature as far as I know, whether by pressing tare or just the on switch.
Most also shut off after a while, which can sometimes be really annoying.
I didn't know that. I was gonna ask what to look for, but I swear you answered this question recently. So I'm off to did up that post

All this scale talk reminded me that I can in fact afford a MyWeigh scale, which I've wanted for a while. And they've updated the designs! Yay!
