NBC had ANOTHER major failure with this one, too... someone tweeted a photo of their mobile site saying Astronaut Neil YOUNG had died!
someone on my feed tweeted this morning that in relation to this story he had seen all of these other names instead of Neil Armstrong:
Lance Armstrong
Louis Armstrong
Neil Young
Neil Diamond
it really does boggle the mind...

Oh, that's what I remember (the not being married by 30 comment.) I don't look at 27 as young to get married at all, but I guess it does depend on the area. And if that was her attitude (marry a guy off the street at 30!) I personally don't see much to envy in her.
If 27 is young for your area, then you have lots of time!

claudine - I love bats too. I love to sit by the boyfriend's pond, a lake, or my own front porch at night and have them swoop by. A couple times a year I find a little bat sleeping on the brick wall of my porch. He stays for the day and then flies off.
When I was younger I was scared of them only because my grandfather once said "I hope a bat never gets too close to that hair. He'll never get out." I still think of that when one gets very close. And I've had a rat stuck in my hair so it could happen! : )

^ I like bats as well, unless they fly toward me. A few circle my house. I will sometimes forget and send a text, while sitting outside. They fly straight toward me, every time.
I woke up to the best text message from my nephew. He was getting ready to board a plane to the Caribbean for school. He told me how much he loved me, that I was his favorite Aunt, and wished me HBD. It made me smile.
Then I saw a missed call from my dad at 4:30 am. I would have been worried, if that wasn't a common occurrence. The man has no sense of time since he retired.

I have bats, too. I wish more of them would flock near my house, to eat up all the horrid mosquitos.
I did build and hang a bat box for a long time, but they never went near it. They've come inside a few times; once on my birthday. It was funny: swoop, swoop, swoop; window. The dogs were completely flummoxed.

a follow-up to my $100 winning ticket.
when i cashed it in, the lady at the lottery booth said i should get another one.
that one netted me $10. so i picked up another one and got $5 on that!
now $3 - the cost of the ticket - is the least amount you can get; i fully expect my next one to be for that amount and then nothing!

b-wavy, nothing exciting to the rat story. He was my nephew's gorgeous brown and white pet rat. He liked to crawl up on people's heads but decided he wanted to get under my hair. And he got stuck. It took my nephew and a friend awhile to detangle him and get him out. He was fine and I lost no hair so all was well.
