-I feel so....stale. What the hell. Like a stick in the mud that is stuck, not budging. I think I used to be fun and now I feel so not fun.

-Jeep, have you started with your trainer yet? I forget when you said you'd be starting, I'm excited to hear about it!

Does not compute. Bugs of any kind freak me out, as you've probably gathered from previous posts, but bees - bees sting! That's a whole 'nother level of DNW. I can't imagine seeing a bee and not thinking "OMG STAY AWAY." I'd call you a badass for not caring about the stingers, but it's things you can pet, and one of them is even a fuzzy thing, that make you shudder, and that just confuses me.

It amuses me that rats are in the same category as snakes for you, since the latter eats the former. If you kept them in the same room, you'd have less to fear by the moment!

Kayb, if you're out there I have some good news. I can't believe I forgot about this website. I'm not sure if you know about the textbook website Chegg.com, but if not, it's a website where you can either rent or buy your books for a fraction of the cost.
What was originally going to cost me around $500 for four books came out to $82 (before S&H)!

good luck this semester!

Chegg is awesome! They're way better than any other place I've tried to rent textbooks from... I actually get a little happy when I see that bright orange box on my doorstep.

Today was the first day of school.

Bailey in 2nd grade
Bella in Kindergarten

my job, my life, all day and night has been taking care of my two girls. They have spent minimal time away from me. I am so lost without them to take care of all day. I spent most of the morning cleaning, but around 10:30 I sat on the floor and sobbed. This is such a hard transition for me. I gave up so much of my life for them for the past 8 years. I'm finding it so hard to start over for me.

I feel like a GOD-DAMN SUPERHERO after last Thursday at work!

Unfortunately, I think I will always be the behind-the-scenes, unsung kind of superhero.....

Still feeling awesome though!

Scrills, that is awesome!

I swear to you I have no idea how all the crap gets in the house. If only you could see the massive amount of stuff I've donated over the years always in anticipation of moving, yet I always have more to get rid of. I try to be so diligent about what I buy so that it's not so hard to fit it into the next place, yet I STILL sort through and donate what seems to be massive amounts. I just don't get it.

Wish I was there to help, sounds like my idea of a good time! (I clearly need a life..haha)

iroc, you're an awesome mom! It will take a little time, but you'll adjust to the changes and I know you'll figure it all out. Just imagine when they get into all the extra curricular activities how you'll wish you had some time on your hands!

I second rou's advice.

I can't picture you ever being a stuck stick in the mud.

I met with my trainer today for an hour and half. She is about 14 years old and weighs about 78 ounces. but she's not overly perky so that was good. : )
We went over my medical history, diet history, exercise history, weighed and measured (oh dear that was not good), set goals and all that. I told her one of my goals is to no longer be made mostly of butter. De-flabbing is in order.
We meet again Friday along with the others in this challenge and get our individualized eating programs. Then we start Sept 4th.
I'm petrified that I will fall down or pass out during the workouts as they will be much more intense than when I work out on my own. And I'm not very graceful and I feel anxious around other people so that will be a challenge. We have to do at least 3 classes with the group every week but can also do things on our own or in smaller groups the other days. I dislike yoga so the nights of group yoga classes I can use the treadmills and stationary bikes or go to the room with the circuit training stations.

I don't think my landlord and I will get along long term.

Yesterday when I moved in my mother noticed that the face basin was leaking. So I called the landlord to report it and she claims it wasn't leaking when she checked it as if to claim that I somehow damaged it.

I told her that I would be going on the road tomorrow so the plumber will have to come in the afternoon. She's asking if my door will be open for him to come in while I'm away. Uhm, no. His ass has to come while I am here.

I don't know this man or woman from Adam and I am not letting either of them in my room unaccompanied.

Next, I noticed the fridge was frosting up after a week. So I called to ask if it was a no frost fridge. As soon as I mention the word fridge she starts ranting about not changing it because she already bought it. This, I assume stems from the fact that I quite bluntly told her the fridge was too small when I came to see the place. You cannot expect two people to share what is in essence a one person fridge.

This woman is already getting on my nerves.
