This pic from Humans of New York is so great:

It will depend on the fruit, but I do like the idea of making ladyfingers again. Haven't made any in a while. I could do gooseberries and red currants! Or a summer tiramisu!

My life feels so lame compared to my FB friends' lives!

Like I realize people can make their lives look however awesome they want on Facebook. But still.

claudine, I'm sorry but it IS possible to not only still have your period at 55 but also have it every 2 weeks! Yea it's effin great.
My one grandmother had a hysterectomy at an early age, the other one I don't know about, my mom was done in her early 40's, my 58 year old sister was done mid 40's. One month she had her period, then TA-DA never had another one! B1tch. : ) My 48 year old sister has had 2 ablations but is still having her period.

I had a hot flash once (brought on by a surgical procedure) and it was NOT FUN. I don't look forward to it.

Got an invitation to a destination wedding at Punta Cana. I checked the price for the resort online. Cheapest room is $528 per night. Keep in mind, neither the bride or groom are even close to rich; neither are their families.

Are they high?

Ha Ha! I have a vacation day tomorrow. Going to sleep late, eat yummy foods, fool around on nc.com, watch silly sitcoms and scary movies, read my newest mystery, see a pal for dinner and generally be a lazy slob.

I'm overheated all the time as it is. Hot flashes won't be fun.

They suck.

The average hotflash isn't "too" bad, but the real trick is to avoid getting into a cycle of wave-after-wave of never-ending hotflashes, because those will kill you.

Paul Ryan comes off as such a DB.

Meanwhile white republican delegates throw nuts at a black woman working the convention and say "this is how we feed the animals." Not news though.
