I missed it too but I have an inkling that I would have vehemently disagreed with the OP.

Is it wrong/incredibly mean that I just don't care to hear about other peoples pets?

Finally figured out why my new dvd player was only showing black and white video. I saw a black and white version of The Hunger Games (still good) and Cowboys and Aliens (horrible, Daniel Craig or not, so sad).

I always miss them because they tend to happen after I'm in bed. To the bolded: it's because all the drama happens late and we DO miss it. We rarely get to see any.

Only two days here and I'm feeling slightly miserable because there are mosquitoes that have absolutely murdered me. I have tons of bites on my arms.

When I left NY for MD, I also got ravaged by mosquitoes and other bugs. It's horrible. Makes me want to go to the coldest place I can tolerate for life. I am covered neck to ankle in bites.

Oh, the Kitchn, this is foolhardy way to cook meat. Relying on time to cook any meat is just guesswork:

Quote:
Someone once told me never to put salt on any kind of meat prior to cooking -- because it leaches out the juices from the meat. Not sure if this is true or not, but I salt after cooking
Argh, MYTH MYTH MYTH!!!!

Best answer:

Quote:
Brine for a few hours with salt, honey, lemon, thyme, garlic, peppercorns, parsley, bay leaves and then sous vide it for 1 hour at 140-145 degrees, and you will get the moistest, tastiest chicken possible.
For real, sous vide chicken breast is practically life-changing. It's like you can't believe you're eating chicken breast. No matter how awesomely moist a roasted/grilled/poached chicken breast is, sous vide chicken breast makes them all taste like tough leather.

And of course people like my dad basically don't even know there are mosquitoes around because magnets like me get all the attention. Lucky me.

Yeah, they even go for the face with me. It doesn't help that they are incredibly itchy and often painful for me, whereas some people get bitten and it's no big deal. I can feel bites on my chest and back from last night.

I love Kate Winslet, but everytime I see her in a movie using an American accent, I hear Clementine from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Supposedly mosquitoes prefer blood type O which is the most common blood type.

I am O+. Don't know if that's true or not, but here's this:

You know what's a good breakfast food? Black sesame panna cotta. No arguments!

I have swelled up from mosquito bites on my arms and legs. It looked like I had a mini hill on my arm.

I should know my blood type by now but i don't anymore, lost the paper I had it written on. I always forget to ask the doctor too.

I think I'm O as well, I vaguely remember something about me being an O type but not too sure.
