How does that work?
I'll tell ya it doesn't work that well when you're surrounded. We had a friend try it at in CT while we were out watching a fireworks display and he got eat UP. He had several stuffed in each pocket.

I will say this guy was 6'8" so maybe he was so tall he needed to stuff some in his ears too so that all areas would be covered.

I heard the same suggestion on the radio recently (dryer sheets).

I want to buy some and try it out.

I'm 5'3".

The other thing I've heard suggested is using an oily lotion on your exposed parts; something like a thin after-shower body oil. I'm trying that one today, but I rarely see the mosquitos that bite me, so I don't have a reliable testing ground.

I suppose I could walk through the woods but I'm scared of ticks.

I had no idea it was possible for people to have a negative IQ, but I happen to work with 3 of them.

Ugh, actual quote from Steven Moffat:

Quote:
There’s this issue you’re not allowed to discuss: that women are needy. Men can go for longer, more happily, without women. That’s the truth. We don’t, as little boys, play at being married – we try to avoid it for as long as possible. Meanwhile women are out there hunting for husbands. The world is vastly counted in favour of men at every level – except if you live in a civilised country and you’re sort of educated and middle-class, because then you’re almost certainly junior in your relationship and in a state of permanent, crippled apology. Your preferences are routinely mocked. There’s a huge, unfortunate lack of respect for anything male.
Oh, those poor menfolk.

The two bolded sentences contradict each other.

Besides that, I agree with parts of the comment. I don't think women are needy or that's why we're out "hunting for husbands." But the double standard still exists: A man who goes unmarried later into life is considered a bachelor, but an unmarried woman is considered an old maid.

Cry 'em a river.

My pastor has been doing a sermon series lately about the book of Genesis. When he got to the part about the creation of women, he said something I thought was really cool (obviously, this is coming from a theistic perspective since we're talking about a pastor...LOL)

In the progression of creation, the things created last were better than the things created before them. Therefore, woman is the pinnacle of God's creation.

Some guy called my hair "adorable" today. FYI, "adorable" is never the adjective that any girl is looking for when it comes to hair.

But first, he asked if it was "real." No, it's a wig.

I'm so glad I didn't wait 3 years to find someone here to cut my hair. I went Tuesday and it's so nice not to spend a gazillion hours detangling my hair in the shower now.

Although I do miss the salon in CT where I got my hair cut, everyone there was so nice and the lady that I went to was great with my cut.

Are you getting anything drastic done or just a trim?

I have been so hungry lately. I feel like I'm constantly eating. Probably not helping with the trying to lose weight thing.

Although even not keeping track, and vigorously snacking, I went back and checked my calories and they're still under 1300 BC I've been walking an hour a day.

Still not getting any results yet. In fact right now I'm period bloated to cow-like proportions.
