Sometimes the replies to threads on this board literally make me laugh out LOUD so hard. This time I startled the dog from his slumber, poor guy. I love this place.

On a totally unrelated note, Mr B and I are taking a short road trip to western PA this weekend! We'll be staying with my favorite aunt and uncle in Irwin, visiting cousins in Monroeville and Vandergrift on Saturday, celebrating another cousin's b-day Saturday evening, taking a trip to b-day cousin's (I have zillions of cousins) house in Shelocta on Sunday, and (I can't even believe this) we'll be going gambling with my aunt and uncle and b-day cousin & her husband and another aunt at some place called the Meadows (in WVa I think) on Monday. I've never been gambling...never thought I'd go gambling....but apparently it is a source of entertainment for the aforementioned relatives. What the heck, I feel lucky.

I really enjoy shopping at Penney's (and I'm NOT a mall or store shopper at all. I buy mostly online). But they had great sales, lots of helpful and friendly clerks, and it was a very fun time (we roamed around lost much of the time because I so rarely shop in stores so I didn't understand the floor layouts. duh.).

You will be not far from me on your visit! About 80 miles or so away. I'm waving!!!!

I'm ridiculously nervous. I think more so than the first time I had one. I over think things more now that I'm older. Curse you, aging!! I'm going shopping when I get done so I'm trying to focus on that and the happy fact that I figured out what to get Mr. Spring for his birthday so he doesn't have to be present-less.
So which thing made you figure out a gift for Mr Spring - shopping or the hoohoo visit? : )

Jeep, I will definitely be waving back! This will be our first trip back in a while that isn't for a funeral or some other kind of obligation. This one is just for fun. Yay!

This happens to me with some of the gifs people post. Sometimes I laugh so hard the bed shakes. My poor husband just turns around and glares at me with this do-you-mind-I'm-trying-to-sleep-here look.

A lot of the time I want to join in on the fun but it wouldn't be prudent.

B-Wavy, I had to do a double take when I scrolled through this page, because I saw "Vandergrift" and "Monroeville" and they seemed so out of place here! Haha

In other news... I'm applying for more jobs. I hate it that I'm not even getting responses for most of them, though. Like seriously, Target, I KNOW you're hiring. So why can't you just send me a quick "sorry, not interested!" email if you really don't want to hire me? It seems so rude not to. Same for you, Eat'n Park! I'd rather get a rejection letter than nothing.

Make that first one "you", and this about sums up my thoughts as I venture into that mess.

It doesn't really help, B-Wavy. Well, maybe a little.

I don't know.

Have fun gambling, though!

Angelina Jolie does a lot to help refugees and people in other countries. she and Brad Pitt also donate a lot of time and money to help under-privileged people in your country.

there are millions of Syrian refugees flooding into camps all along the borders of other countries due to the civil war - Jordan and Turkey in particular. their plight is getting very little of the world's attention due to the US election and the financial crisis in Europe. she might get them more than a passing mention on the news once every couple of weeks.

did y'all suggest that George Clooney stay in Darfur???

*sheesh*

I ate almost an entire bag of those the other day... And I'm about to go polish it off.

Don't tell my family.
