more (((((HUGS))))) for Ms X!

and scrills, you did nothing wrong... that's just office politics.

after The Boss talked to the sucky co-workers yesterday, they're acting civil - not talking much - but not being hostile. i'm grateful!

I find that work environments need a whipping boy. When they get rid of one, they move on and find another. I watched it go around several times in my office. Usually there was someone else, sometimes, when we got rid of the 'someone else' it would occasionally turn on me since I was the next position down from her.

Work politics are hard.

At the end of the day, I know I went out of my way to avoid saying anything to them. I'm annoyed because after I told them what happened and that she might be speaking to everyone, they said that they felt bad and we happy that it wasn't them that got called into the office. Afterwards, it was all my fault.

The only think I can think of is that I made a comment something like "I know for me, that I sometimes expect people to understand things that I haven't cleared stated. Had I been clearer earlier, I wouldn't be in this situation with <manager>. If they other person doesn't get it, I have to realize its like I never said it."

I think that's the comment that set them off.

Oh well. It is what it is. I'm so annoyed. I need people to grow up.

The best way to handle that is to remove yourself from the gossip completely. If you don't participate, eventually they won't come to you to gossip, and you wont be in the middle of it.

Gossip is one strong demon.

Well, I work on Monday. Huge relief. Don't know about the rest of the week.

Ms X, they are probably just seeing if it goes away. Typically a swollen lymph node will disappear after a bit. And if it doesn't, they'll either do a mammogram or an ultrasound. Please don't worry until you have to, I know, its hard, I went through it last year. ((HUGS))

Scrills.... Politics is politics. Just ignore them, it'll blow over. Usually does. You did nothing wrong.

Mojo, Yay for Monday. Sending good thoughts for the rest of the week.
I kind of don't like my favorite food blog anymore, but haven't been able to find one I like more.
So, I got called for a job interview this week out of the blue. I wasn't even looking, but someone my husband works with (a different dept., but same company) needs someone for a full-time work at home position! It pays $3 more an hour (which would be what I was making before I stopped working full time after Danae was born) and is guaranteed for at least 30 hrs. a week (but will more often be 40 hrs.).

My current job has been really awful lately. I'm hardly getting any work and it's been tough. To have something full time would be so, so wonderful. We'd be back to the amount of money we made when we didn't have kids without me having to go to an office job. It would be ideal and I'm so hoping it works out. Since the lady asked my husband specifically about me, I'm hoping that's a good sign; it would be nice to have a little advantage.

People are cowardly, scrills. They want someone else to take the fall for what they've participated in.

I'm not going to make fun of you!

Why don't you like it anymore?
It is hard to say. She has grown so much, which is fantastic, but it is losing that personal touch. I don't like fb that much and that is pretty much where her focus is. Questions asked on facebook can take hours to get answered. Questions answered on the blog can take over a week to get a response to. It can be hard to keep up and follow if a question is asked I want to know the answer to.

I think I am kind of spoiled with nc. A question gets asked. A question gets answered. An argument starts.

p.s. I didn't really think you would make fun of me.
I can't believe I forgot this part. She doesn't really acknowledge that quite a few people don't have Earth Fare, Whole Foods or even Trader Joe's. It would be nice to know where to purchase some things online.

Okay, now I see I am asking for a lot. I think I just wish they had a message board.

Curse you nc!!

I have the electric blanket preheating the bed right now so it's toasty when I get in. Then I will watch tv and crochet.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Nooo, don't do this to me!

He's sent me two more messages since (after I sent him a message trying to shift the subject) and I can't even bring myself to look for fear of what he might say and the awkwardness it will cause.
